I don't disagree Parker was clearly winning. The problems I have are...

1.) NO Danny Leigh, Marlon Wright is NOT a good ref.
2.) Wright started off as if it was a foul, then changed his mind and started counting after Dimi showed pain. If anyone would say Dimi was looking for a way out (it's possible)... they'd have to also say Wright was looking to make sure he gets his kickback for not allowing a DQ.
3.) Parker clearly hit Dimi when he was already on a knee. A clear case of either a DQ or 2 point deduction and up to 5 min. for Dimi to recover.
4.) Why is a WBO official even making a public comment like this? On or off the clock... it's completely unprofessional.

This isn't rocket science. The incident was handled badly. Dimi would probably get dismantled even quicker in a rematch. But hey, if he wants it, let him have it. His problem, it seems forever, is that he just isn't very sturdy. Not a good trait to have if you're in the ring with someone like Parker.

Parker would have KO'd him in another round or two.

Is it OK for me to go and murder someone with terminal cancer?

          They'll be dead soon anyway

          Is that how rules work?

Of course he was looking for a way out, it was blatantly obvious Terrible display of cowardice from Dimitrenko, he should just retire.

For some reason Marlon Wright has been getting gigs outside Montreal recently. I think he was also the referee for the Golovkin-Brook fight? UK and Australia boxing promoters can't find a quality local official for a title fight? Anyway, this guy is not on it. Lawrence Cole level if I had to be harsh.

I live in Canada & wright has officiated many big fights in quebec. Every ref has an off night. It is funny how the only fights anyone here knows is this fight & the bute/andrade fight. The guy has been at it a long time in Quebec which is a major player in the boxing world. Bute, pascal, stevenson & many others who have fought here. Wright speaks multiple languages & wouldn't be getting big fights outside Quebec if he was a total dud. They do have bad nights.

joe strong; I'm a Canadian national and I'm well aware of the popularity of pro boxing in Quebec (as well as the rivalries between the Oilers-Flames, Molson-Labatt, etc). Regardless of how many languages he speaks, I'm still not big on Marlon Wright.
