A good fighter who is overhyped(with good power) with a thin resume

before him it was Matthyssee, Paul Williams, Margarito and others

dude is no where near an all time great.....IMO he is at the Pavlik, Taylor, Benn, Eubank level....very good fighters...not great

none of those guys are undefeated with a 100% KO ratio against top 10 contenders.

so no none of them are like GGG.

lol Mathysse has how many defenses? was he even champ? of which alphabet belt

so when he puts his hands down and waves his opponents to come forward... then nods at them after their punches, he's not taking them on purpose?

          are you ******?

can you guys please shelf that defenses crap

the guy was regular champion a long time when their was a main titleholder, now he holds a belt for the same organization Jacobs has one for

            he is nowhere near record

also middleweight isn't exactly murderer's row and he has not beaten any of the current top ten besides Lemieux

even Jacobs beat Quillin who was # 2 or #3

this is what they have in common....they have a loyal fanatic fan base, the media is hyping them like the next big thing, but none of them had any wins over elite opposition and as of today...GGG does not....its not that complex bro

Hopkins has the defence record and a big portion of them is with an alphabet belt. it's not opinion, it's fact.

it doesn't matter what your opinion of what GGG's opposition is. the fact is all those fighters are top 10 middleweights. That is a fact. quillin isn't necessarily better than lemiux or murray. he drew with Andy Lee for ****'s sake. the fact is GGG's opposition is against top 10 MW's and he never lost unlike Jacobs.

lol @ shelf the defense argument when it's what boxing is all about. you can't be great if you're not a champion. matthysee is not even in the same stratosphere as GGG. he couldn't compete at the highest level and lost to journeyman like Zab and Devon.

talking logic to the dems is like playing mozart to cows.

another emotional post from the dem.

                  single motherhood is destroying manhood.

here are some facts. GGG has one of the best hit and not hit ratios in the sport of boxing. That stat is factual.

here is a video of him dodging punches. facts.

now you're still telling me when he puts his hands down to invite his opponent to hit him. he's not doing it on purpose right?

                  typical emotionally driven mangina.

                    1) Hopkins was the only titleholder for the IBF and actually fought for the title in the ring

                    2) every great fighter didn't become champion

                    3) Devon AND Zab were former world champions and at 2 weights....come on....have some respect These guys fought comp that craps all over GGG and did it before the age of 30

keep fighting the good fight...you guys wouldn't have to convince anyone how good he is if he actually took risks and fought better opposition

                      1) it doesn't matter if someone drops the belt to duck a fight with GGG. that is actually TKO by forfeit. you can't put a gun to someone's head and force them in the ring. if they run, it supports his greatness.

                      2) once again, exceptions do not make the rule. Vast Vast majority of ATG's are great champions with many defenses. you wouldn't even know what exceptions do not make the rule mean.

                      3) Zab was way out of his prime and a journeyman by the time he fought Mathysse. he went 2-3 after that. Devon is on the level of Daniel Geal.
