Two of those four fights were primarily for the US market not the UK. There are certainly a ****load of casuals following Joshua though, the sky sports brigade.

UK fans are definitely propping up boxing right now.

In saying that, they (generally) have the biggest cases of homerism though. Everyone leans towards their own backyard, that's fine - UK fans just tend to be a hell of a lot more one-eyed about it. Lacking logic at times.

Speaking as a Brit I find most British boxing fans to be complete casuals who are only aware of the sport on a domestic level.

Obviously you get people on forums and things who are incredibly well informed, but most people are ****ing idiots. For example - a colleague of mine bet some money on Brook to beat GGG - what ****ing planet is he on?

I can't blame them too much though, have you heard British commentary? It's so awfully biased I have to watch it with the sound off.

Also, even huge mismatches sell thousands of tickets. People are always showing up to see Anthony "Unbelievable Average" Joshua like he's the second coming of Christ

          I rest my case.
          You've got a good case.
My question was only half serious cause I'm pretty gullible myself.
I'm always hoping to see two guys, with skills in a competitive fight.
Sometimes i'll buy a fight, half knowing its a hype job. lol

I agree with you about Brit commentary. I watched a few of Brook's fights and the man could do no wrong. The HBO crew is not much better. They're always creating a narrative rather than just describing what's happening. I'm always surprised by how much of the fight they miss. I do appreciate Roy Jones, but if the others stayed home I wouldn't complain.

America demands elite level of skill thats why we dont back our own ; you got to be certified around here first....but these Britt's write songs for euro level prospects.

Because I picked GGG to poleaxe Brook I'm biased, not quite its called calling it how I see it, only fück wits thought that was competitive or it would be competitive. It just so happens it was mostly Brits believing Brook had a shot, casual d1ck riders.

Breazeale is Joshua's best win !

No one believed Brook had a chance, and no one though Flabzeale would win. Its just you that has a problem with brits.

Slightly off topic from the OP, but some (not all) of these posts are weird. Imagine getting criticized for supporting your fighters. Or then not supporting them unless you think they're gonna' win
That attitude sums up why certain fighters get no support or atmosphere at their fights.

As for Brits picking fight winners with their heart and not with their head..i don't see them doing it more than any other nationality on here. Brook and Smith weren't picked by many.

I have a problem with homers and casuals, it just so happens the majority on this site especially the worst ones are Brits.
