We all know ward is a far more superior boxer than brook, all he was saying was if brook was able to land clean shots like that then just imagine what ward would've done, and ggg wouldnt have been walking him down like he did brook after taking them shots. Good buisness move for ggg to avoid this fight. No one looks good against ward, great defensive fighter.

Real talk is that is that all these talks were going on while ward was testing the waters and building himself into a light heavyweight.

All props to ward though, he played the pr perfectly. Pretending to negotiate with GGG when he can't make 168 and hasn't fought in 2 years, to get his name back in the spotlight with the end game always being to face Kovalev instead, at a weight he is comfortable at.

He won his olympic gold medal at 178lb after all.

He gets not hate from me for that. I love him as a fighter. I think he will take Kovalev to school. But the whole GGG situation is silly to still be stewing on.

Maybe it gets to him that people say he was ducking GGG, when in reality its never a fight that he could have even made 168 for, much less 164.

He already saw what draining yourself did to Dawson, Ward is smart enough to know that when making the weight becomes too much of an ask, you need to move up.
You're deluding yourself. They sent GGG an offer to fight at 168, something which GG's team has never denied. You can pretend he was "forced" and all that nonsense but he didn't set himself on the path to fight Kovalev because he was forced to, it's because GGG didn't want any, 168 was dead, and Ward decided to go after the biggest fight he could.

Nobody actually believes that Ward ran from a GGG fight. A few here pretend they believe it, but we all know you don't.

Nobody says Ward was forced to fight Kovalev. Kovalev is a more lucrative fight for Ward, and a better career move since he himself admits he couldn't continue to make 168.

Ward just spend how long in legal battles over control of his career? You think he had no strategy planned out?

Using GGG to garner media attention to his comeback, then switching course to Kovalev was smart business.

It would have been really ****** from a guy that can't make 168 anymore to starve himself down to 164.

Also Im the first to admit Ward probably could have beaten GGG. He would have size and skill advantages on his side.

Boxing history says that a great big man always beats a great little man (unless you are Roberto Duran, then **** history).

Ward is a great big man, GGG is a great little man.

The point is it ok for GGG to fight guys way smaller , to be a big mouth and challenge guys at 168 , to say he would fight anyone from 154 to 168 yet when it came to Ward who was talking 168 but GGG sht his pants and took off into the never never .

You can swallow all the lame excuses from GGG if you like but the people that been around boxing for a long time know whats up , G ducked Ward as fast as he could he and his management know Ward wins thats why they dont want Ward for he will kill the goose that laid the golden egg .

Funny thing is Gs fans know Ward schools him , Ive never seen a fan base that are so scared of their guy fighting Ward they make more excuses than his own management lol .

Can't wait to laugh at the excuses after Kova destroys this cherry-picking, non-risk taker.

Still trying to figure out how someone can duck someone who isn't in that person's weight division... If you don't force yourself to move up in weight, you're ducking now?

At least when GGG called out Lil Floyd, he was ready to move down to 154 where Floyd was champ to make the fight happen...

After Kova KO's Ward, Ward will go back to fighting cab drivers in Oakland until he retires on BET.

I heard that Ward is a down-low Black Lives Matter supporter, so I hope after the fight Kova dedicates this fight to the police officers who were assassinated by those thugs in ***.
