I had Brook up 3-1 at that point, soon to be 3-2. You could tell by how Golovkin fought that he didn't come to look pretty or even box to win rounds. He knew it would be easier to just bum rush & annihilate Brook.

He fought the second with a surge of adrenaline after his orbital bone was broken (for which he will have surgery on this week) but once the round was over he knew it was just a matter of time before he'd get KO'd and let his corner know. He was standing there like a heavy bag for GGG to tee off on in the 5th and today admitted that his corner did the right thing in throwing in the towel. He got hurt bad in the 1st...hurt much worse in the 2nd with a punch that cost him the fight and maybe his career. He never had a chance.
I wish him the best but an orbital fracture is pretty serious and often ends careers either sooner or later. His vision and reactions are not likely going to ever be the same.
