True, if he could hit and run. Do to the body a bit and run.. Do whatever he can to frustrate GGG then maybe he can take it on the cards.

People keep randomly bringing this fight up when Brook doesn't fight like Leonard, Golovkin doesn't fight like Hagler, and the circumstances are entirely different.

It just sounds ******ed to keep saying "Leonard-Hagler!" when it doesn't apply at all. Even if Brook wins, it won't be the way Leonard won against Hagler.

Kell has not had the experience that Sugar Ray Leonard had prior to the Hagler fight. SRL also came in @ 158 because he wanted to maintain his speed. Kell was 168 on the 7-day weigh-in. I think that tells me Kell is more worried about power than speed and footwork. It might be a good one, but I doubt it's going to be a long one!

              1. Kell Brook isn't even as good as a 160 version of Leonard

              2. GGG is essentially still in his physical prime even at 33-34

              3. Brook's not a mover

              4. GGG cuts the ring off better than a high percentage of boxers today.

              5. Brook won't be able to deal with GGG's work rate along with being evasive for 12 rounds.

Leonard was running circles around Hagler. As great as Hagler was, he couldn't cut off the ring. Hagler expended so much energy chasing and following Leonard around the ring. Just from that standpoint, Brook best pray and hope that GGG somehow forgets how to cut off the ring. When Brook realizes there's no where to run and dance, he won't be thinking Leonard vs Hagler anymore but why he took the fight.

The only foe that could beat GGG at 160# would be father-time. Kell is a great boxer, but Golovkin's unique ability to cut off the ring, coupled with 1 punch knockout power would be hard for any human being to overcome at middleweight.

Kudos to Kell for taking on the challenge and can't wait until fight night!

Firstly I be cheering brook on for the upset and hoping he pulls of a miracle.......but brook is not a sugar Ray Leonard in anyway shape or form.

1 Leonard had big experience on the biggest stage before hagler
2 Leonard was one of the most naturally gifted boxers of all time
3 Leonard's speed was unrivalled by almost any welterweight in history
4 Leonard intelligence in the ring and even before the fight was something special
5 Leonard had beaten Duran,Hearns and Benitez so his ability to win at the heighest level is second to none.
and finally the skills that Leonard possessed to beat hagler brook don't have.

Leonard is a proven all time great
Brook is decent world champion who has a lot more to prove yet.

Brook will have his moments early but in the end golovkin will be to strong for him and will wear him down by the 9th round....if brook pulls this off rival this with buster Douglas or honeyghan beating don curry
