Brook is doing what neither Canelo or Golovkin want to do. Let's stop picking sides and sugar coating. Brook and Khan moved up 1-2 weight classes to fight the best, Canelo and GGG refuse to. Let's call it like it is please

I would agree with you if K2 and Golovkin haven't been saying for 4 years they want unify the division. If that was something they pulled out of thin air 12 months ago I would agree with you but they first said this 4 YEARS AGO bro and they have stuck with that for 4 years. But for the sake of argument "Carl Froch, Ramirez, and Ward" were all offered fights at 168 with two of those guys being offered the fight while they were still recently active at the weight and said no. Ramirez we might still see because apparently they have some sort of agreement with Arum for it maybe depending on how much time Ramirez needs to heal and get in a tune up.

There was no dialog cause Gbp wanted none. It's nothing like Oscar Hopkins:

1. That fight wasn't mandated, midget Oscar just wanted to fight Hopkins
2. He actually made an offer, unlike Canelo
3. For great money
4. At a much reasonable 158
5. While being a considerably smaller guy
6. And holding a paper who belt, not lineal

But the fundamental difference is, Oscar wanted the unforced fight, Canelo wanted to dodge the mandated fight

Here's the point of the post. I was showing the person I was debating with (you must not have followed the thread) that even way back in April, Hopkins was saying that Oscar was NOT going to allow Canelo to fight GGG. Hopkins was bringing up the catch-weight, which should have been a hint to K2, "no 155, no fight." The person I was debating felt that Canelo could just tell Oscar "give me the fight" and he would get it! That's not what happened, and B-Hop's statement clearly shows that was a pre-meditated move. If anyone feels that 155 was too low, I understand them, but Oscar will not make the move until Canelo is clearly negotiating from a "position of strength." I interpret that to mean, he'll show Canelo has way better PPV's and probably a few fights @ 160 (maybe a legit title fight @ 160), and wait until GGG is older and desperate! That was the purpose of the article!

That's irrelevant! Hearn's job is to get Brook MONEY! Rios and Bradley are better than Jo Jo Dan and Frankie Gavin! GGG will bring money, but at what cost?

I was, until the Luis Ortiz fight got cancelled. At this point...HELL NO! When I can watch Salido vs. Vargas, Thurman vs. Porter, and LSC vs. Frampton, without paying $60, these promoters are going to have to step up their game before I pay to watch a fight again! I'll save my dough for Kovalev vs. Ward!

Hearn tried one month to get the fight done but the fighter did not want it. How is that bad management? His work is to get the fight on table, it is the decision of the fighter if he wants to fight or not. Fight makers have to do lot of work behind the curtains which is possibly too much for your little head to handle. It is not as simple as A B are fighters, now we have a fight. The work going behind is tremendous. This is why Hearn is a millionaire and you are an internet ****poster.

Let's see how that works for Brook. Three bull**** fights @ 147 and now GGG @ 160, vice 3 good fights @ 147, and fighting Pacquiao, Garcia, Thurman, or Spence Jr. @ 147! Life is a marathon and not a sprint! I could care less how much money Hearns (or any promoter) has, I am concerned for the guy taking the real risks in the ring...A$$HOLE!!!

I don't care where you are in the world, whether you see yourself as part of a national rivalry or not. When somebody steps through those ropes and evokes the spirit of its past fighters, eludes to the machismo of its version of what it means to be a man and speaks the word Mexico, then begrudgingly or not, you pay your respects to what that country and its fighters have brought to the sport of boxing.
