I don't really see it. I've seen people talk about Ward being really quick but I don't think he is particularly fast - what you're watching is exquisite timing and ability to read an opponent very well and anticipate what they're going to do. OK that translates as beating his opponent to the punch most of the time, but raw speed? Not so much.

Will that still hold against Kovalev who can feint well and also has a talent for throwing some less predictable shots and inventive combos in there? Well, that's why they gotta fight, of course.

Well... eventually, Ward also has to jump inside... and very fast indeed...

Did you re-watch Kovalev vs Hopkins fight? What happened in that fight each time Hopkins wanted to get inside?

Lara's manager recently admitted that they had never actually reached out to K2, and in fact, K2 recently called Haymon, (probably about Daniel Jacobs and/or Lara).

Lara's people never lifted a finger to try and actually make the fight. It's the standard using someone's name for the free press.

And don't get me wrong, I actually like Lara.

You explain why you're posting that. DiBella doesn't have any say in Lara's career.

Reaso. Why warda speed is in question is he was never viewed as a fast fighter. A quick one Yes. But a Fast one No. On top of that his last 3 fights have been vs d level fighters who are slow and are not quick or powerful .

Kovalev has subtle quickness and speed. His power is for real but he relys on his technique , not his power. Kovalev is gonna look good in this fight

Ward is definitely faster than Kovalev...Kov is stronger

I don't think it's up for debate if Ward is faster just like it's not up to debate if Kovalev hits harder. I would say they both have all the tools as far as punch selection. I have Ward winning primarily because his defense is superior and I believe he'll outpoint Kovalev. When you have to superior fighters usually the one with the better defense wins.

I'm glad the Breadman stated that Lara vs. GGG would be interesting. People make it seem like that fight is just ridiculous. I know there are TV barriers and whatnot, but the fight itself is just as valid, if not more valid, than GGG vs. Brook, which many people are championing. Also, if GGG fights Lara, that would give him and Canelo a common opponent that could help force the fight. Like I said, I know there are TV barriers, but I would be interested in the fight itself.

Im not fooled. Ward fought slower fighters with no power for a reason. Barrera still landed. Smith disnt even try. And brand was the worst fighter any supposed top fighter ever fought.

One thing bread mentuoned thats right is that kovalev lands .ward will have to put together the best performance ever to win by a narrow points victory. I just dont see it. Kovalevs level of competition within the last 3 years compared to ward is far superior.
