He is not doing anything which wasn't done before him (remember Cotto-Geale?). Now if in addition to picking Monroe he would drain him to 155-156 (because Monroe unlike Rosado is full-fledged career MW and it will hurt him), then he'd follow Cotto's blueprint to a tee.

With the accolades ggg fans give to his resume the should be happy Canelo is stepping up to this type of competition lol

F#cking hypocrites so Monroe was a bum to GGG but a good fight for Canelo? lol!

Anyways, Canelo needs to start preparing for GGG, he should be fighting guys like:
        Arif Magomedov
        & Ievgen Khytrov
To prepare, both guys have a similar style and size to GGG. He could bring these guys to Mexico or Texas. Monroe or Rosado wont prepare Canelo for **** but I think GBP is just talking out of their ass, hopefully they are smarter than that. Canelo needs to tune up for a MW GGG and those guys are perfect.

Man, it seems like Rosado gets no love in the forums, or from fans outside of Philly period. He's not a journeyman, or a gate keeper. One more loss, and he very well could be. But he's still in contender status. He's a legit middleweight.
Levghen Kyhrtov(sp) is too risky for someone like Canelo at this stage. He has barely 15 fights doesn't he..? Canelo would never face an undefeated guy with an excellent amateur record and only 15 or so pro fights...not enough reward to counterbalance the large amount of risk.

Canelo v Rosado would be an exciting fight. I'd pick Canelo by TKO around the 8th, but Rosado winning definitely wouldn't shock me...he is legit, and those of you who think he's a bum, i really have to wonder just how much you've even seen of him...i know you can't expect everyone to have seen every significant fight of every fighter, but just for the sake of explaining his crappy record....his first loss was like his 5th pro fight..his second loss, he avenged by knocking the guy out in 3 rounds about a year later... Then he had to face Fernando Guerrero and Alfredo Angulo, both in his first 16 fights...Considering he only had 15 amateur fights, that's a pretty tough task..Gabe gave Guerrero a tough fight, he knocked him down early, and showed his heart, along with his raw boxing ability..Fernando was just on a different level than Rosado though, at the time. The Angulo fight was just stopped way, way early..I remember watching it on YouTube a year or so ago thinking it seemed bogus. He lost one more fight before winning 7 straight going into his fight with GGG.

I think his first few losses were just poor management, trial by fire, etc. He easily could be 27-5 instead of 23-9. His five losses being to Guerrero, Angulo, Golovkin, Charlo and Lemieux. David Lemieux just swarmed him, that was a bad day for Gabe lol. I've never seen the Charlo fight, though, and though off-topic, if someone could walk me through how in the hell I do the torrent thing on an android tablet, I would be forever grateful. I also have a 2009 MacBook pro, if it's a lot easier on a computer.
