Maybe Gervonta is pissed because Floyd called Shakur the face of Mayweather Promotions. I actually felt bad for Gervonta when I read that. It's just something I felt intuitively. It could have upset him and made him resistant. I don't know.

How is he on the shelf when they already had a date in play? Hopefully its a way to get some attention because this is ******. Baltimore is hot, and if people feel like you're eating they will try to get it from you. Smarten up and get the check and move your people out of the area to where you're at

It's very easy to let a little bit of fame go to your head when you stay a big fish in a small pond. There's something to be said about moving somewhere you can focus on the craft without distraction.

Davis is only known because he's with Floyd, and is (was?) only getting this title shot because of Floyd
Clearly Floyd knows what it takes. If he says to train in Vegas for your biggest fight to this point, do it

I get that mayweather wants return on his investment and that means making sure his fighter is the most prepared he can be, removing him from distractions ect....
but if moving to vegas was THAT important to floyd, then he should have put that in his contract with davis. Holding up davis from fighting over something like this that he never agreed to in the first place isnt right and its the same chit that sleezy promoters like duva and arum do. Even if floyd thinks hes doing it for a good reason, its a sleezy tactic.

Tank was supposed to be the face of Mayweather Promotions now it seems as if theirs a lot of questions.
I'm sure this gets worked out but this is another example of fighter and promoter on different views on things should be.
But they all had to grow and make sacrifices in order to propel their careers. I'd shelve him too if I was his promoter, Tank being a ***** ass *****! Talkin bout I got a family to feed and take care of? Defaq!!! You can take em with you if that's the case and there is electronic transfer to transfer money and skype for face to face conversations, hell he could fly there every week if he wana he'll be makin that kinda cash in vegas under Floyd's promotion, after all, who better than the king of vegas himself to pass the crown unto you.
This aint bout taking care of his fam and shieet, coz that's an easy problem to solve, hell in aint even a problem in this day and age with the current technology and resources. The real issue is that tank is a scared little ***** who's hiding under his mother's skirt, using his own fam as a scapegoat for his cowardice, the nerve!
Let's see what he does when Floyd no longer needs him and has Shakur Stevenson in his stable.

Mayweather is doing the right thing. As boxing fans we complain about fighters with a sense of entitlement or reaching the big leagues before doing anything, but then we want to turn around an enable that sht.
If someone turned down a top 10 finance firm to stay in the hood, you'd give the offer to someone who is hungry.
Funny really. I remember an interview where Floyd talked about spending time with Frankie Randall. He mentioned having to stay in a shtty apartment eating chips, but he took the experience.
