Is it wrong to root for a fighter just because he is the same race or ethnicity?

So if you turn on a boxing match and see two fighters of different race that you don't know it's okay to support your race even if the other guy is fighting the way you would usually prefer? that's just racism man

For example, Loma and Floyd fans should be the same group and Walters and GGG fans should be the same group but they aren't and it's the opposite because of racism.

I really wouldn't root for any random fighter on my TV screen if I didn't know them. Even if he was the same race as me with a style I like, I don't want to risk cheering for a guy who might be a pedophile or a guy who snatches old women's purses.

Anyways, you make a good point though. I have seen fans who do like both Loma and Floyd, but there aren't very many. You'll find way more Floyd fans who claim to support the sweet science and claim that power punching and brawling isn't real boxing, but they'll support guys like Wilder and Walters over Loma.

I must be one of those white people. I don't support my country in international competitions or stuff of that sort, but I don't support any others either, I just have no reverence for the specific patch of dirt I happened to be born on, not that their success wouldn't make me happy it's just I don't actively pursue it.

I'm more attracted to specific characters and style when it comes to sport. I'm a white guy from Dublin, Ireland but I love Broner's ***** talking the same way I love Conor Mcgregor's ***** talking(may be a bad example because I feel they even fight similar, or as similar as a boxer and mma fighter can whilst being opposite stance).

I think GGG, Kovalev, Ward are all kinda boring tbh. I prefer guys like Linares, Guzman, Canelo, Chaves, Frampton, Broner who throw fast flashy but intelligent combos.

When I was a kid, my favorite wrestlers? Jeff hardy and The Rock. I just never "got" that kinda pride feeling thing.... Maybe it's Irish insecurity or something lol

I remember the ****** smile on my face from watching the silky skills of these young prospects I didn't know, right then that second I was a fan and rooting for them no matter what. It would only be seconds or minutes later during the minute break between rounds that I found out Brook was English and Frampton was Irish and it wouldn't have mattered it it had been the opposite way or if they were both had been something completely different to me.

Broner has apparently snatched an old woman's purse and I love him, Both as a personality and as a boxer. I'm not perfect and I don't try to be in my support of athletes. Would I be his friend ? No. Will I enjoy his boxing and ****** stuff he says? Hell Yeah

I for one give absolutely no fu(ks about what Floyd does in his personal life. He had the defense of a god and a right hand guided by Zeus and that's all that should matter on a boxing website. There are many women issues forums you could go discuss this on if it interest you.
