With the shady promoters, managers & stereotypical mafia types that have run boxing in this country for so long it's no wonder. Historically; boxers in America have been on an island surrounded by sharks looking for a feeding frenzy on the talented. There is a bigger gap in the standard quality of living between America and the East. Kids, especially black kids, don't need to be sacrificial lambs to these low lifes as much as they used to be. Nor should they have to.

America went all 'business' on boxing. They basically outsource their champions. Look at GGG - born and raised in Kazakhstan and honed his boxing skills there. Once he decided to step to the highest level of boxing fame, he moved to America. In 4 years, he should be a full US citizen and the US will claim him as their own. Yeah, it's weak sauce stuff, but that's how America 'plays' boxing these days.

America doesn't give a **** about boxing. The only time I've seen boxing on TV during these Olympics wasn't even on an English speaking channel. I have no idea how far along any of the divisions are, when the gold medal fights will take place, nothing. There's a commercial with some kid named Shakur Stevenson and I have no idea who he is.

Pretty obvious why other countries are better. They care and we don't.
