    Kovalev's skills

Kovalev's skills... How do you rate them? If we go by his recent fights, this is my analysis:

Chilemba: Kovalev was neither able to stop Chilemba nor easily outbox him. That's not a bad sign, just shows that Kovalev's skills are not extraordinary.

Pascal: Pascal, a shot fighter, was nailing Kovalev with brutal shots and Kovalev would fall over his own legs while trying to hunt down Pascal. Kovalev won this war due to superior punching power, but it showed that his defense and balance are horrible.

Hopkins: A 49 years old fossil who had just fought one average guy after another in hard matches. Some say that Kovalev outboxed him, but it was more a case of Hopkins not being able to open up due to Kovalev's power and the lack of speed that comes with the lack of youth. The fact that Kovalev could knock him down in the first round shows that his power could hurt and stop Hopkins, but he simply didn't have the offensive skills to push for the stoppage. This fight showed that Kovalev is limited and can't adept to complicated defensive opponents. WTF is he gonna do against Ward, then?

Caparello: He knocked Kovalev down, though the knockdown was more a result of Kovalev's horrible balance issues and lack of defense. Kovalev won, as he should, but this was the first sign of Kovalev's weaknesses that just got confirmed further in his later fights.

That's basically how I see Kovalev. A very hardhitting guy who can box, but in a very flawed and limited way. It won't work against a young, fast, skilled and slick opponent.

People may disagree with me now, but will you still do that when Ward exposes his lack of skills?

Caparello stepped on his foot. Kovalev lost balance because he had the full force of a foot of a 175lb man on his foot, so he fell.

Guys on here trying to pick apart Kovalev's childhood, life, story and family history for the next 3 months, trying to convince yourself and everyone on NSB why you believe Kovalev will lose...

Meanwhile, on November 17th, Kovalev will easily outclass and destroy Andre Ward..... and then all of this will be pointless

Pascal, a former world champion, was "nailing Kovalev with brutal shots," meanwhile, Pascal, took literally the worst two beatings of his life and could have been left permanent damage.....

Yet, Ward got his face busted up by Sullivan Barrerra, didn't even stop him Barrera, or brutalize him.

Why do people try to give themselves false hoop/trick your mind into believing something your heart wants to believe? Why not just wait til November 17th and find out the truth

Dude. Do you even know who I am? When I declare a winner, that's how it always goes. Only idiots still doubt that Ward will win. It's a fact. Can I adopt you when Ward easily wins almost every round while Kovalev desperately hunts him with wild shots while tripping over his own legs, lol? You could become my prediction student.

Literally since this fight was made official last week, there's so many nervous posters here now who you can tell don't want it to happen. So, they/you come up with these ridiculous theories as to why Kovalev will lose. Lol.

Kovalev's destiny is to retire the undefeated, undisputed, GOAT LHW. Andre Ward will not step in his way.

Once Ward feels Kovalev's power, and then realizes that this dude doesn't have to bum rush in like some drunken, basic, average caveman (Froch, Bika, Abraham). He's going to have 100s of questions in his mind, but have no answers. Soul will be drained, spirits will be destroyed, and realization of the 0-about-to-go will be flooding his brain.

While that's happening, a jab to the body, followed by a devastating right hand upstairs is going to put him on his butt, and that will seal his fate as far as fighting Kovalev goes.

It is what it is. It's just the way it's meant to be. It's like those analytic guys in NBA front offices who choose advanced stats and crazy calculations to pick certain players on their team, there's only so much math you can do before reality/nature takes over.

Your reply is just as drama filled as his opening statement. Pascal did no busting up and Barrera didn't brutalize crap lol!

He can still headbutt if he feels without answers. He can be dirty. Has Kovalev ever fought dirty?
