no i dont like ward, find him boring and unwatchable, didnt like his comments earlier today either, starting to see his true colours now. GGG's done a whole lot more in last 5 years than ward has thats for sure, hence why he won fighter of the year couple years back. I admit GGG hasnt had the opportunity for a signature win, but i resent hearing you lot making out andre wards CV is amazing when it plainly isnt.

you judge a fighter based off their entire career and based of accomplishments and level of opposition, Ward is clearly ahead of GGG


GGG has fought a lot more times the last 5 years but who did he really beat that would make him a star or p4p for that matter? No one.....his best opponent was David Lemieux. a guy who got outboxed by Alcine and beat by never was marco antonio rubio.....The man has 3 belts and only fought for one of them....thats not a good thing

On this site, if you dont have power and you aren't a fighter who pushes action then there's really nothing special about you. Pretty much how it goers around here. Just goes to show most people don't know **** about boxing.

this is a boxing forum....you'd think more people would know more about boxing than speed, power and aggression

anyone with a little boxing knowledge knows, if you dont have wind you cant win (stamina)....thus why more gifted fighters who dont prepare themselves the best get beat by "lesser talented" guys i.e. Imam vs Granados, and many other examples

a great understanding of distance, timing can beat speed or someone with better technique


Most people on this site dont understand the psychological part of the game...boxing is 80% mental and 20 % physical....you can have all the natural talent in the world but if you dont have the proper application of skills and talent then its pointless.

Ward has been undefeated so long because, just like floyd before him, he understands that even though he is gifted with attributes like speed, reflexes, quick legs, he still must prepare himself and train hard, learn all the nuances, and belief in himself.

its funny how people trash certain fighters when its clear that they dont understand what they are watching. Anything past a blood and guts war, they draw blanks.


you have to know why a fighter made a particular move or technique to actually appreciate it

hard to appreciate boxing if you dont understand what you are watching....no different than a person who doesn't understand basketball watching the nba finals.....it just looks like dudes running up and down court shooting but to a baller they can tell you why every move was made.
