I dont even think his technical skills are that bad really but current standards. When he fought Stiverne (his only percieved dangerous fight so far) he boxed very well off the back foot. He jabbed and moved, set up the right hands well and Stiverne barely got close to him.

Granted Stiverne was atrocious that night, but Wilder showed he can box at a higher level than he often shows vs no hopers. Put him in with one of the top guys and he would look a lot more polished than he normally does i guarantee it

I think he is bad. His defense sucks badly and and he gets ****** into a brawl way too easily. Once he's in a brawl, he starts throwing those AWFUL windmills that hit nothing and leave him wide open.

Personally I don't think he is anything great, nor has he fought anyone of note. What I do see is a guy who is fun to watch and when it was his turn tried to not only step up but travel to fight the best guy available. Is he special or great? He'll no! Is he doing anything thing different compared to any other paper to flirt...no, not really. Lets put this guy where he belongs. An unproven commodity who holds a belt. Than again, Tyson Fury is the man at heavyweight and all her done is beat an old Klitschko who while being great was never keen on going to war.
Well for me i think the heavyweight division as a whole is not that great. It lacks in skill and overall quality. There are a couple of decent fighters but overall its pretty bad. The division is making some noise now and there is a couple of rivalries in the making but if you look through and past all that it doesnt change the fact that its still garbage.

So with that said i say sure Wilder can be a heavyweight force.

of course hes a force. boxing fans are very negative people, yes he has flaws but hes winning and is pretty exciting. a lot of great fighters had flaws and some eventually fixed them as their careers flourished, some didn't. and some bring up his resume but then turn around n defend the likes of..... (not going there) but the bottom line is im finally happy and look forward to the HW division.

If Wilder isn't a "force" in the HW division, I'm not sure who is. Guy is 6'7", knocks over small buildings with his punches, has very fast hands and reactions, and is tough as they come (beat Arreola and Stiverne with broken hands and a torn bicep).

I'd take him at least 50-50 against anyone in the division including Fury, Wlad, or Joshua...

Any 6'7 HW with a punch and maybe one of the best right hands ever is a force. I don't think hes the best but he is top 5 fighter. Certain guys not in the top 10 could make him look not as good as he should be as a champion and some have and they aren't as good as Dillian whyte is ......Using size is a skill its a skill because you cannot make believe a fighter doesn't exist and will not use what he is born with. Its a question who uses it better, out of the champions he doesn't use it as well but he is a force for sure.

I think he is. Top three at least. Hard to tell with Fury, his only major win was Klitschko and no one knows how much Wlad has left. Joshua's best win was Martin and who knows what that means. Anyone of these champions might to be able to beat the other so Wilder is up there.

Well they can all fight each other and we can find out, why do fans ask questions as if guys are retired and will never fight each other. TO BE DETERMINED is the Answer! Fight Joshua, Povetkin, Fury, Parker then who ever is left standing after they all fight each other is THE BEST it is that simple
