Great Idea! Both are YOUNG WTF is the rush? Let both of them keep working their way up and that fight will be bigger later than now. Showtime should sign Parker as well and start building towards that fight so that it can be BIG when they fight!

Alexander Dimitrenko is a solid opponent for him next, hopefully Joshua fights Kubrat Pulev next that would be a good opponent for him as well as they prepare for their clash

Either way his team is playing it safe ,the problem is he will be going from rugby players ,out of prime guys to a "A" level fighter who can punch HARD . He needs to find a 6'6 ,power punching up and comer that will at least resemble Joshuas style ,they are out there ,whats the use going into a title fight walking on egg shells .........Takam is 6'2 ,not a power puncher at 35 .......these guys are not going to cut it !

If he cant blast Dimitrenko out soon and convincingly that will tell me all i need to know . I want to give Parker the benefit of the doubt but just looking at Skills alone i think hes really just another deceht win for Joshua , i see nothing beyond hand speed that screams out hes better much than Joshuas top wins. I would go far to say i could see Whyte knocking him out because Parker cannot stop over hand rights and Whyte can take a punch and has an awkward swarm style. I hope to be wrong because Parker can make a decent fight with anyone if he fine tunes the defense .

That is the main factor here.. The guy was fighting in NZ until early this year when he decided to move to US.. He hardly got any meaningful fights in NZ.. He is still 24 & has a time to grow as a real HW elite, but he soon faces a beast of a guy in Joshua who himself is a work in progress.. Stylistically, Parker fights more like a MW - way too many combinations & punches which cannot have enough power behind them & not to forget he will gas out soon(like after the 7-8 rounds in Takam fight)..
Dimitrenko is a decent fight as the guy is tall & rangy, you need those type of guys going into a Joshua fight to gauge the height & reach..

Whyte is overrated, is too slow & is more a winger than a boxer.. Parker will box him & eat a few shots here & there, but will not succumb..

Whyte is stronger than Parker,he would apply much more pressure than Takam did as well so no one can be certain what Parker would do. The better fighter doesn't always win,if you pressure Parker he can be backed up ,this was shown even in his last fight against a non factor fighter. A guy like Whyte could easily land a bomb on him, parker ate right hands and continues to eat them against slower guys. I would give him a good chance , just like I would give Pulev to out box Parker.

Im not exactly sure who Parker should fight but he needs Breazeale like guys who can stay in there and are tall fighters, the problem is Joshua is great at inside fighting there is no one of 6'6 like him, but fighting Rugby players isn't the way to go I know that. Hes 2/3 fights away from the actual match up so hopefully he actually fights AJ LIKE guys with skill, Washington/ Wach ? these guys are huge with decent skills..im sure theres more I haven't seen in the top 50. I think its a bit late tbh because naturally Joshua is on another level, he will beat Stiverne and maybe Pulev before this fight kicks off..then what is Parker going to do then? This fight would have actually been more competitive a year ago,now it has gone way in the other direction,i see Joshua walking right through Parker.

We all know who wins in a boxer vs puncher matchup.. Whyte is overrated & he had been built up by sky for the Joshua fight. He split with Banks & has got himself a UK based trainer.. I see no hopes for Whyte tbh.. Skill wise he is very basic & lacks good defense.. Minto & AJ fights exposed his defense..

Between Gerald Washington & Dimitrenko I'd choose Dimitrenko. Washington is as unheard of in US as Dimitrenko is.. Dimitrenko has 1 or 2 good wins against fringe contenders & I cannot say the same about Gerald..

Wach is a 6'7 punching bag who also got popped after the povetkin fight, so I don't think he can give anything to the fight..

AJ is a level above Parker & whenever they meet it will be quite evident.. from the fans perspective it is good they meet now so that we know who the top HW contenders are..

The Pulev who fought Wlad & the Pulev who fought Chisora were quite different.. against Wlad Pulev was quick, aggressive & got a few good shots in, he looked slow as hell against Chisora who is more a pressure fighter.. Pulev vs AJ next is a game on.. Stiverne vs AJ is a pretty decent matchup too..

dude is learning on the job, so they want to have enough preparation going into the Joshua fight.. IBF has mandates that AJ vs Parker deal be reached by Jan, so the fight won't be until Spring next year(Hearn hinted it too)..

The was to take place between November and January. I guess they can agree to a fight in that time and schedule it for the spring if both are in agreement.

If I am not wrong, it was ordered by the IBF to come to an agreement by Jan'17 because Glazkov was the last mandatory who ended up fighting for the vacant title in Jan'16, so I dont think the mandatory would have been due by November..
btw, nice avi dude.. so Wlad is still in training in stanglwirt even after the fight being rescheduled.. Any update on the rematch date? 29-Oct seems to be a proposed one & not a fixed date..

                    He's up there yeh.

Their lawyers met last week, I am hopeful the fight still goes ahead but I suspect the failed drugs test which has now come to the attention of Klitschko is likely the reason in the delay. Wlad is a proud man, he will want to avenge that blemish on his record.
