Comments Thread For: Crawford: I Hurt Postol With Every Solid Shot That Connected

LAS VEGAS - Terence 'Bud' Crawford returned to Las Vegas and hit it big on lucky number seven. The Omahan's seventh victory in as many world title fights pulled in his biggest haul. Crawford added the WBC super lightweight title and the 140-pound lineal crown to his WBO junior welterweight championship with a unanimous decision over Viktor Postol at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

It felt that way. Postol was too tentative as a result.

"He's the type of fighter that's got to be set to punch." Story of the fight right there. Crawford knew it and gameplanned for it. Roach didn't have a plan B for Postol other than cutting him off, which Crawford wasn't going to let happen.

I don't understand how someone actually gave Postol 2 rounds, for what? For turning up?
I loved this fight, it was a joy to watch. Showed how good Crawford is and he didn't even need to change gears. He is a complete fighter with good defence, movement, power and work rate. If you are a stiff fight you will struggle. Only slick fighters will give him a few challenges otherwise the rest stand to get beaten by him for a long time.

He won rounds 1 and 3, and that's about it.

TC washed the legit 2nd best fighter in the division. He's the most complete fighter in boxing today.

Some people actually say he doesnt have an inside game. 90% of in fighting in boxing is the clinch. He knows how to fight out of it, and he's damn good at it too.

As if Floyd is some in fighting legend. All he does is clinch, and his best move inside is the solar plexus stab with his right hand, and the occasional combination, which TC does as well.

He's the most complete fighter in the game since Floyd retired, and its between him and Ward, and Ward doesn't have the range and timing game of TC. He doesn't utilize his offense, and set traps, and counters as well as TC, and actually, no one in boxing today set up their next move like TC. And he has a sixth sense in the ring in knowing where to move, where to feint to setup his power shot, and when to switch stances. Also, he can actually fight at the highest legend out of either Orthodox or southpaw stance.

He's the most skilled fighter in the game today, minus Chocalatito and Loma. But Loma isn't as measured and smooth as TC. Rigo's a beast too, but he has one dimension. His one dimension is nasty, but he doesnt combine it all like TC.

Can we see Crawford vs someone his own size ie a welterweight before making all these announcements?

I've been telling that before the fight

The bum was overrated in the first place, midget version of emasculated Klitschko minus agression and power in punches, he got lucky that Matthysse got his eye messed up

He was saying that Matthysse is a better boxer than Crawford and that Crawford is not that special. Never underestimate your opponent, it's better to overestimate. The bum paid for that mistake

Crawford is still the future of his division
