Comments Thread For: Roach Admits Confusion in Golovkin-Ward Comments

Earlier this month, Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach had made some comments regarding IBO/IBF/WBA/WBC middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (35-0, 32KOs) and his potential to become the pound-for-pound best fighter in the world.

This should be a non-topic because based on the "standards" around here, neither man has done jack shhh worthy of praise in five years.

I wonder how much HBO paid Roach to take back those comments.

Kovalev or Golovkin, who cares. Both great fighters and Roach's opinion on either guy is irrelevant.

Most everyone agrees though the winner of Ward-Kovalev will be p4p #1.

This was Dontae, wasn't it? I saw this interview.

Roach said "Triple G" had to beat Ward to be the best, but he meant Kovalev.

Roach rates GGG as PFP #1.

Kovalev is going to stop Ward and put an exclamation mark in what has been a weak year for boxing.

Well Kovalev already sparred with GGG and had a hard time with it so that pretty much means GGG is a shoe in to absolutely dominate Ward
Now it makes sense why Ward moved up to 175 absolute coward.
