    Beterbiev is just a beast..

The power he seems to generate on those short, sharp (Golovkin type) punches is scary! He's the real BOOGIEMAN at 175 for me.. His conditioning (built like a slightly bigger Froch) & power are second to none, One similar characteristic to SK & GGG is the patience he shows... If they get in a good shot then, they briefly assess the situation before going in instead of just wailing away. People like to make out they are just crude sluggers moving in straight lines but they are far more 3D & subtle than most like to admit!

Gassiev & Gvodzyk are the goods too but I can't wait to se how AB's career pans out! I suspect he's going to walk through 175.. How about you?

I have to say I agree. Artur is perfectly shaped for the LHW Division. Hits scary hard from both hands and is terribly efficient at close range. Guys like Kovalev and Stevenson need the range to apply the power. Beterbiev denies you that range and destroys you with stiff, short and multiple power shots. I don't know of any other Top LHW fighting like that.

Beterbiev is a chechen and average chechen makes average russian looks like a weak pu$$y. They're THAT naturally strong. Their kind of strenght is impossible to achieve if you were born in urban environment

But Al Haymon gonna waste that talent, he hired Beterbiev to be his bodyguard

          he is literally a beast.
They need to fast track him, he will probably be left on the shelf by haymon though

Would love to see how Kovalev would deal with someone that big and strong who just comes straight at him.

You'd have to pick Kovalev right now, but theres something in the back of my head which says Beterbiev is an absolute nightmare for him.

For a start the guy is massive. Maybe the biggest light heavyweight ive seen. His skills are better than i first thought, his punch selection is good, and he generates huge power without having to load up too much.

Kovalev is obviously a very good boxer, tactically he is normally spot on and he does a great job breaking his opponents rhythm with feints and counters, but his defence still looks very suspect to me. Regularly overcommits with his combinations and then stumbles backwards on the retreat. Im kinda waiting for a fighter with the right attributes to exploit the mistakes that Kov makes. Is Beterbiev that guy? I dunno. But it would be a hell of a fight.

Yes, strength is determined by how hard you work and your genetics, but the conditions where you grew up plays a big part in your genetics as well, especially if your ancestors lived in the same conditions for centuries, that's where your genetics coming from in the first place

See, you have the environment with mountanious air, healthy food, the area where people experienced war just 15 years ago (and been experiencing wars throughout all their history), where traditions are so strict that you wouldn't even be considered "a man" for taking an easy office job, where a man supposed to be "a warrior" or his own family might disown him. The envirionment where these traditions and Islam keeps generations of young people away from drugs or alcohol, and making them disciplined from their childhood

And you have the urban environment with polluted air, GM food, where young people trying to take some easy, comfortable and well-paid office job from the first moment of their graduating, where they have the easy access to things like alcohol, drugs and nightclubs and their own families barely controls them - they're doing whatever they want to do. They don't even have any traditions to follow. It's easy to guess, which environment breeds stronger people on average

But to be serious, they tend to look older than they really are, their teenagers walking around with these huge ass ****** beards, lol, look at Gassiev, that mother****er is only 22 but he looks like he's 35 or something

Chilemba just did that, but lacked the power to really hurt him. The way he jabbed at will over Kovalev's right hand for the first half of the fight and the way he connected flush at times exposed Kovalev to his future opponents.
