Man, I really hope Eubank gets in the ring with Golovkin. He's still raw, but confident, quick, and powerful; an excellent engine also. The fight has the potential to be a barn burner. UK boxing fans know how to make exciting events even better.

No matter the outcome, BJ Saunders is going to suffer a hit to his rep for ducking GGG. How can a fighter with one marginal belt not jump at the chance to grab three more and become unified champion?

I have a su****ion BJS is thinking he'll get a Canelo fight, that's why he turned down both Golovkin and Jacobs. The reason I think this is I heard he's recently been added to the Canelo-Smith PPV card. I'm guessing their thinking Canelo will fight at middleweight for a belt soon after and since BJS is the weakest link they'll go after him, or at least that's what he's hoping. Either way dudes a clown, can't take him seriously at all.

If Gennady Golovkin heads overseas to fight Chris Eubank Jr. in the United Kingdom, then Eubank should thank to the only person to beat him so far as a pro — middleweight titleholder Billy Joe Saunders.

“We tried to make the Billy Joe Saunders fight,” said Tom Loeffler of K2 Promotions, which has Golovkin in its stable. “That wasn’t possible. He didn’t want to fight. The next best alternative is Eubank.”

Shouldn't GGG be thanking Eubank? He choose GGG. Eubank could've fought Saunders. The Canelo fight fell through and Eubank saved GGG from a mandatory fight against Heiland that nobody wanted to see. These writers really push the "GGG is the A-side against anybody but Canelo" narrative.

And he was in the unusual position of having a world title from one sanctioning body (and then two) while still being ranked in the ratings of another.

Yea that was unusual. Usually writers and fans would be calling them We Be Crooks but nobody cares when they change the rules to benefit their fighters.

That's cause forcing champ to fight each other is a good thing. Figures you'd be crying about it

Actually it didn't force the champs to fight each other because they didn't fight. The same way Kovalev and Stevenson didn't fight when Kovalev was IBF, WBO, & WBA champion and the WBC made Kovalev vs Pascal an eliminator. Those are money decisions, not competitive decisions.

This isnt even a tourament sport anymore, its about picking and choosing, how sad. It sucks tremendously for the mllions who try to enjoy it, US. Moneys important, but there needs to be someone who all boxers abide too. Someone beyond tv networks and billionare men. They need a law, because fans are getting gouged out of great fights and when they do happen its like such a dead performance. Its ******, champions like Jordan Or tom brady in other sports are forced to face everyone once a year to truly find out whos the best, this is ******. Reasons why UFC is winning right now, and its only 60 bucks for a ppv full of current superstars such as ufc 200. Im tired of my money going to a network or entity that does nothing for the sport except profit, **** greed. Im no schmuck to this fight game. My first fight I ever attended was de la hoya vs trinidad september 99, in todays time, these fights are embaressing. Its like these boxers are entitled even before reaching Pacquiao type pf stardom. The fans lose.

It created a mandate and boxings biggest star was forced to drop the belt in shame. Facilitating unifications is better than obstructing.

You can utilize the bittorrent protocol when you feel the Business of Boxing is feeding you rubbish.

This is roughly my thinking too. I always thought BJS was a likely target for Canelo, but whether he is or not he has to be hoping he is. Saunders' addition to the Nelo - Smith card only makes that more likely - my feeling is Canelo can't stay at 154/5 for long and if he's going to fight at MW Saunders has the only remaining piece of the pie.

Funny thing is that I actually think Canelo - Saunders would be a pretty good fight, certainly more competitive than GGG - Canelo, but Saunders ain't a lights out puncher in anyone's world and there is no way he gets a decision over Alvarez on US soil.

We're still yet to hear if Lara actually instructed his manager to make the GGG fight...the last thing any of us have ever heard about it was that his team never tried to contact Loeffler about it. Saying you want the fight, & trying to actually get the fight are two different things. And lastly, Lara is a Showtime fighter, which makes all kinds of negotiations difficult. All those factors are against Lara getting the GGG fight.

..... like, Eubank is..... right ?

..... you and FJay should both agree on the " boring doe " excuse.....

But for some odd reason Eubanks can bring fans to the table in the U.K., which means GGG and Eubanks get paid.

If Lara wanted way less than he's asking for or could make the fight big enough, I'd want to see Lara get destroyed. But most fans hate watching Lara run.

                      fixed.....
