Yup! Pure damage control. It's there story and they're going to tell it how ever they want to. They probably already have the ending being Pedovetkin is the Super Hero and Wilder is a BAD man who beats up old ladies, steal purses and snatches candy from lil babies.. And the jury is going to be outraged they're going to NOT only win the $35 million but for pain and suffering get another $115 million.

In reality they're going to get jack sht and owe Wilder

I have to wonder if some of you even noticed that Povetkin's promoter, Andrey Ryabinsky, is the head of World of Boxing and that this article is by World of Boxing?

      Stop the madness.

34 mill is a bit high but they should get some significant monetary compensation.

Wilder defamed him when the levels in his blood were legal and he subsequently tested clean. Told the media he tested dirty when he didn't, pretended a postponement was a cancellation.

Meanwhile you have guys like Anthony Joshua running around "100% natural".

100% incorrect. VADA notified both camps that Povetkin had failed a drug test:

VADA president Dr. Margaret Goodman sent a letter Friday informing both camps as well as the WBC, whose title Wilder holds, of the positive test.

"This letter is to advise you that the 'A' sample urine specimen number 3969608 collected from Alexander Povetkin on April 27, 2016 in Chekhov, Russia through his participation in the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) program has been analyzed for anabolic agents, diuretics, beta-2 agonists, stimulants and drugs of abuse," Goodman wrote. "The results of the analysis are as follows: Adverse. Urine specimen contains meldonium."

If it was under the limit then that would fall on WADA because they didn't follow VADA guidelines on what is a positive test and what isn't! If it was TRULY .07 and WADA told VADA, WBC, and BOTH camps that he tested positive. But I'm sure they have contracts saying they can not be responsible for errors and omissions... IMO of course.

Did you even read what you pasted bruh?

We know he tested for meldonium but it was 1 test in between two clean results and the detection was so small it was withint he margin of error and legal under WADA guidelines.

Meldonium was recently banned and stays in the blood for months so lots of athletes are having microtraces detected. Povetkin was well, well within exemption thresholds.

Wilder was TOLD he tested positive. He didn't make that sht up. So he can't be sued for jack sht. If out of no where he started saying that, then I would believe he would lose. But no jury is going to side against him when HE was told the other fighter is a cheat.

Until that is properly explained, Ill consider Povetkin dirty af.

If I was Wilder I would postpone the fight too. No way Im willingly fighting dirty fighters if Im clean.
Strange part is, he tested clean at first but then tested positive after for 1 microgram of meldonium. Do you know how much 1 microgram is? Its 1/1,000,000th of a gram!

It was so low that the first test probably didn't pick it up. I say that because it would be impossible to take such a low dose.
