I'm so glad Mayweather opted not to fight Khan. Khan is doing the same thing to Brook that Floyd did to him. Why complain about Floyd?

Canhellno weighs 172+ on fight night, more than GayLoveKin...even Lemieux is around 175 iirc. Canhellno is using weight as an excuse, there's no other way around it. A fighter cannot simply make up a weight class...which is why I think he's being ridiculous. Now, does Canhellno have a better resume? Absolutely, he has a better resume vs more elite guys that he easily outweighs however. Lara, Cotto, etc, etc, were all much smaller, but still are much more elite (remember some of his fights have been quite close as well).
GayLoveKins people shot themselves in the foot saying they would fight from 154-168, now, had they said that and since moved up to fight better competition at 168 I'd be more inclined to give him a pass for that statement, however...he's now 34 years old and has no issue making 160. While I believe the 160 lb is likely the weakest division in the sport right now, the fact remains GayLoveKin has all of the belts, and you should not continue to let any one fighter make up weight classes because it's a convenient way of ducking the next division completely.
On the PPV. If Canelo is as big of a draw as everyone (namely he himself) thinks he is, then making big numbers fighting GayLoveKin should be no problem. Thus imo, if you are making ANY basis of p4p supremacy on them, that's beyond ******.
GayLoveKin missed his train when he ducked out on Ward and the knowledgeable fans know that was his chance to REALLY prove himself. He's not imo a top p4p fighter...if he's in there, it's because of money, blindness, fanboyism, or simple ******ity. You cannot make one a top p4p fighter without quality wins vs quality opposition, canelo has that, GayLoveKin doesn't, hence I have canhellno around 6th or 8th.
GayLoveKin wants the fight with Floyd because Floyd is a WW that brings in the money and he thinks he can out muscle and outpower a 40 year old who he really doesn't even deserve to share a ring with imo. That whole thing is ridiculousas well. Floyd doesn't need, want, nor have to fight GayLoveKin at 154 because excuses will be made about being drained or GayLoveKin wasn't really that good, etc. Floyd will not get his full credit until he is old, or gone from this world. Fact.
Also the fact is I don't like either golovkin or Canelo more than the other. I am totally unbiased in this and call it like I see it. Imo Canelo should move to 160, show the sac that his heritage is very proud of, and make this fight happen. I fully believe Canelo does much better than expected and it's a 50/50 fight.
Now, canelo is indeed the draw, so make the guy do random testing, pick the gloves, ring size, split, etc because at the end of the day he's the one who WILL be criticised much much more for ducking if he doesn't make this fight happen. If you want to show you're the A side, fine. Just fight at 160 for all the MW belts.
Your not unbiased , your bias because you give Floyd and Ward a pass & crucify CANELO.
It's clear your just a CANELO hater. You hate on CANELO for flexing his A-Side muscle to put himself in what he deems a fair fight, but you don't find any wrong doing when Floyd & Ward did it. Floyd & Ward got to choose the weight as well. Pacquiao did the same, but people gave him a pass.
For example:
You give Floyd a pass for fighting 21 yr old CANELO at a cw of 152 for all the 154 titles after fighting at the full 154 twice, then going and defending them against Maidana at 147 in which Floyd didn't dominate , was that a problem since winning close fights is a bad thing in CANELO'S case like you say. And you probably think Floyd vs Marquez was a fair fight going in also lmao.
You give Ward a pass for making Chad Dawson move down a full weight class , and wanted ggg to move up a whole weight class. Both guys would accommodate Ward & he wouldn't have to give up any weight advantages.
You didn't say Floyd & Ward need to "grow the sac that his heritage is so proud of".
But CANELO should move up a whole weight class since he can still make 154 right? That's bias as hell.
Why can't Mexican fighters be treated fairly, and be put in fair fights, then let the chips fall where they may. The truth shall reveal itself in a fair fight going in , under the bright lights on the big stage. If not now with CANELO being one of the top fighters and biggest drawing super stars in the sport, have the power to be treated fairly , then when? CANELO said after the Floyd fight that the first thing he learned from the Floyd fight was never to give weight advantages anymore.
CANELO vs GGG scenario is a classic Racist Anti-Mexican double standard in the highest order in boxing.
CANELO the lineal champion , who won the belt fair & square at 155(his highest weight ever)who has proven to be a top fighter against top-level opposition , who also brings in a huge amount of $ & fans , should fight on the unproven overrated in all aspects challenger's extremely ridiculous terms , or he is to be crucified?! That's extremely bias.
PPV sales don't grant you P4P supremacy by the numbers alone however that's one of the best way's to set the stage for your-self to showcase your elite status against the top opposition in front of the masses. Big PPV events unite new fans casual fans hardcore fans , to witness the top fighters go at it for all to judge. Let's not just discard the value of PPV success, all of a sudden , PPV is great for boxing, it helped define the #1 P4P supremacy status recently of Tyson, Chavez Sr. , Oscar , Floyd , Pacquio etc.
CANELO has proven he is the next guy.
CANELO already was the B-Side against Floyd , Cotto etc.& fought Trout & Lara when he didn't have to and when he was supposedly going to duck them.
Now he is the A-Side and people hate it with a passion. I've noticed a lot of racist and or bias towards him. Need I remind you that the 160 pound belt was fought at the a cw many times before , but ggg was the only pu$$y not willing to negotiate, and he's Mr. 154-168 saying he's ready now haha.
CANELO deserves 0% blame & ggg deserves 100%. CANELO will fight him on his terms and he will beat Golovkin and do it fairly easy IMO.Last edited by REYESdelBOXEO; 06-20-2016, 04:54 AM.
