Ok, so is Canelo ducking GGG, and how?

Been away from boxing for a little bit, and from what I've briefly read in Google headlines, seems like Canelo is ducking GGG.

Is he, and how? No biased input please. Just wanna know the general opinion on this, and what's going on, and why the fights not signed yet, or why it's being held up.

He was but then gave up the belt so nope not ducking anymore. The reason to fight was the title. Canelo gave up the title so the reason for the fight is no longer there. (Don't care what you guys say but boxing is about titles and proving that you are the best in your division by winning them not money)

Did Canelo duck Golovkin while Canelo had the belt? Yes.
Is Canelo ducking Golovkin now? Nope.

It's quite clear Canelo is ducking GGG man.

Why else would he vacate the WBC middleweight belt.

He and his team should've been straight up instead of being fake paper-champs, taking on little Khan at a catch weight but refuses to fight GGG at the actual Middleweight limit

Mexicans and Canelo fans can suck a fat one, your Irish-Mexican is a sissy.

"We are not ready for GGG yet."

Yes he dropped his WBC title, he said he is willing to fight GGG he also said
        "Mexicans don't **** around"
After saying that, that is when he vacated his belt you make your own judgement off that.

I have canelo the benifit of the doubt for a while but it is clear that he is ducking.

Hopefully he gets shamed into the fight but as canelo has gotten older, that Mexican warrior **** has gone out the window. Just a businessman now.

Well to be fair he hasn't announced his next fight, so we don't know.

That being said, yeah he is ducking a little bit. He should not have called GGG after his last two fights.

But again, you don't move up a division and fight the best guy who hits like a light heavyweight. We have to remember that Ward took 2 tuneup fights at 175 before fighting Kovalev, and that's how it should be to ensure a fair fight.

GGG is a great fighter that has been avoided for years by EVERYBODY (Sergio Martinez, Miguel Cotto, Daniel Jacobs, Peter Quillin, etc...). So the fans are sick and tired of everybody avoiding GGG. Fans think that GGG beating Canelo will help GGG's legacy and career. But the truth is, a win at this point isn't the best move. People will discredit GGG's win over Canelo, saying that Canelo never fought at 160 and he was never that good, etc...

At this point, everybody strongly believes that GGG beats Canelo, but remember that GGG is only getting older and Canelo has yet to reach his absolute physical prime, and he keeps getting better with every fight. If Canelo moves up to 160 and fights 2 or 3 fights there, suddenly the fight becomes a better and closer fight.

In a year (with Canelo fighting other fights at 160), the Canelo-GGG fight becomes a little more even, but GGG is still a favorite. In two years, the fight becomes a lot more competitive. Canelo is getting better while it is likely GGG is degrading at this point.

So fans don't want a competitive fight. They just want GGG to easily beat Canelo and are pushing for it now when they know it's bigger, more competitive, and better in a year, but GGG fans have an agenda.

GBP is keeping their most valued asset, and the most valuable asset in boxing [a charismatic, skilled, 25 year old mexican power puncher,] out of the golovkin fight.

i'd do the same thing, but by any objective criteria, where the purity of competition is what is important, it is a blatant duck.

that's the biggest fight to be made in boxing, and GBP and team are crapping on golovkin like he's not a deserving opponent :lol1. meanwhile, they've created a weight class to keep up the mirage that canelo is better than he is by putting him in with smaller guys. khan was chinny at LW, FFS

You ask how Canelo is ducking Golovkin? The answer is simple: straight up...

In return, I'd ask you just how have you been away from boxing? Did you live in the jungle or something like a desert or a mountain top?

I agree. Canelo gave up his title so he no longer has an obligation to fight GGG. GGG is the monster almost no middleweight will fight. Why should Canelo throw himself on the railroad tracks to make his haters happy? He is not the champ now is he can fight who he wants at whatever weight he wants. His haters can call him all the names they want but he will remain a superstar and the top money maker in the sport.
