I was going to mention something about Lampley getting older and more sensitive. It's true that as a man ages they can become more sensitive. Hormones and brain chemistry changes over time but also emotions become more uncontrollable as our brains shrink and we descend into dementia, the final frontier. Getting old is a wonderful thing. I can't wait to be ****ting my pants and having a young hot nurse cleaning me up afterwards.

but nothing wrong with being emotional for Ali though, have no problem with that but Lampley has gotten emotional really for NO REASON I'm still trying to figure out why he was emotional after the Mosley vs Cotto fight
My grampa as a war vet got emotional when hearing such things like national anthem, parades etc so...
I don't think showing emotion is that bad, you can be a soldier and have served in many battles it doesn't mean you have to be some stone cold hard bastard all the time, its obvious boxing is Jims niche.

Look I posted this in another thread not too long ago, you guys don't get it.

Lamps saw Pac and Mosley grow up from young fighters to what they are today. In those fighter meetings they spend hours with the fighters. Considering HBO did many of Pac and Mosley's fights, they become close with these fighters. They experience the ups and downs with them. Lamps is on the emotional side, but he gets choked up because he is close to them on a personal level. He had probably spent many hours with Ali in the 70's and 80's.

He didn't break down the way I thought he would honestly. They cut away just as his mouth started quivering and his eyes welling up...I don't see anything wrong with it but it's funny that he always does it...

Truth be told, I welled up watching the In Memoriam they had after the fights. Live Schrieber should honestly do voice work on every fking documentary ever made...that was a great little thing they put together in one day.

I shed a tear for Ali. I absolutely loved the guy.

Lampley just seems to cry a lot.

It could be because he's getting older but I was just unsure if he liked throating a stiffy in his spare time.

There's nothing wrong with being a **** gobbler.
Gays can still be good guys

                Beercules is proof of that

If you're chatting about boxing on an internet forum, you really don't have any place criticizing a commentator for being emotional about the sport.

I'd rather be the emotional professional commentator than the geek who starts threads about him.
