Floyd didn't say something bad at all, he was trying to show some respect and what he's saying is damn right.

But AS USUAL, his comment is quite akward and egocentric as the guy end up talking about himself "paved the way FOR ME", "paved the way FOR US" would have sounded more humble.

Ali has made a lot of greatest things than "paving the way for Floyd".

Nothing bad, but quite akward and egocentric.

I don't think he's ever done that, he always gave Ali a lot of credit but he claimed to have had the better career and to have a better life after boxing due to his more careful more calculated more dedicated approach to boxing, absolutely true and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Yeah but he was talking about how things affected him on a personal level. What's wrong with that? He isn't the only one talking about that.

So by your theory, everyone should keep their mouth shut about Ali and how he had a positive impact on their life personally and one single collective statement should be put out by everybody about how he "paved the way for us" and then nobody can talk about Ali again from their personal perspective???

Come on man, i know you're smarter than that.

Some people on here have some serious tunnel vision of hatred when it comes to Floyd.

You need to stop taking life so seriously. Every negative Floyd comment gets some of you foaming over your Qwerty's, which I can assure you makes no difference other than to highlight your apparent inability to articulate how you are really feeling.

Floyd doesn't care what we think, so why should you.
Only the really scummy posters would choose to come in to a thread like this and try to hate.

Some of his quotes has already been posted in this thread. There's no doubt he's made some condescending comments about Ali, for no other reason than bigging himself up. He should have said: "Ali was the greatest of his era. I am this best of my era" or something to that extent. He's probably said something like it.

But when you go in a ridicule what is commonly considered one of the greatest victories of all times, you automatically invite a lot of people to hate you. In that moment, I guess he forgot that Ali paved the way for him and was an idol to his race and people around the world for half a century.

But there's nothing wrong with the comment.

Ali said things about fighters too did people hold that against him when they passed? Turning a thread like this in to another Mayweather hate thread when there's 1000s on the board to spew your crap is just sad.

                You got a point.

No hatred at all, I just said his comment was akward,
but I recognize I tend to see Floyd as an egomaniac person,so I tend to interpretate his words in that way, I probably end wrong sometimes.

Both of us, we don't know Floyd personnaly, maybe I'm right maybe you are.

                Agree to disagree?

I disagree with guys trying to say Floyd is making publicity for himself, that's pretty much classless and nothing in his comment could make us think someting like that.

Ok - So everyone should forget what he said in the very recent past?

There's absolutely nothing irrational about it. Floyd has invited this on himself, despite making some positive comments.

The things he said don't just vanish.

There's no doubt that Floyd is a good person. Everyone who meets him behind the camera says so. He just knows how to promote.

A lot of the things he's said have been ill advised or kind of misplaced, but he's a good man and a charitable man according to most people who know him.
