Really want to tell this guy to pi** off, the nerve of this lad to say all this things... No class at all, zero class.... He really went down in my estimation, makes me even like the Eubanks even more now.

His family asked the Eubanks not to go to the media while he was in hospital fighting for his life. Hardly a difficult request really is it?

The eubanks went anyway because they saw the media was jumping on the 'go to the body' comments and saw the chance for some good publicity. They probably did wish well towards Blackwell, im not suggesting otherwise, but they ignored a pretty simple, straightforward request from a distraught family for selfish reasons imo.

All i know is what I think is the right thing to do in this situation, which is to respect the wishes of the family who are going through a difficult time. It would have been perfectly acceptable for Eubank to say to the media that Blackwells family doesnt want him to comment so he wont answer any questions at this moment. Wish him well, explain why you cant comment further, and move on.

Eubanks didnt do this, instead they saw an opportunity for some positive press and they took it.

Weird stuff. I had hoped he and Eubank Jr. would remain on decent terms after all this. However, bear in mind it is The Sun - the equivalent of toilet paper. Maybe something's been made up or taken out of context.

This is the dumbest response in this thread. First of all, saying that Blackwell family don't want you to talk to the media? You do realise that you are already talking to the media by telling em that right?

Whatchu think the media gonna say? "Oh okay fine, we'll leave you all alone then?"

LOL, of course not. The media will simply start hounding the Eubanks family about why the Blackwell family don't want em to talk to the media, and if they don't answer the media will either start hounding the Blackwell family about it directly, or just make up ****** theories about it and spread it throughout the media.

The Eubanks know how the media work, hence why they went out and cleared the air, and as an end result prevented the Blackwell family from being pestered by the media.

Blackwell's family have shown a great degree of ignorance and lack of class in this whole situation. Even the request itself in nonsensical? Why the **** should the Eubanks not talk about the fight anyway?

If the family asks you not to speak to media about the situation while the guy is in a coma fighting for his life, then dont speak to the media about it.

Even if you dont agree with the Balckwell families reasons for making the request.

A simple statement saying 'we wish him well, our thoughts are with him, but unfortunately due to a family request we dont want to answer any questions at this time' would have covered it.

Instead they were all over the news having interviews making sure everyone knew that they had saved Balckwells life by going to the body rather than head (as if they had Nicks health at heart) despite being specifically asked not to?

Eubank snr tried to stop the fight many times, and asked why the referee wasnt stopping it. He was ****ing on the canvas pleading.
Furthermore he said to his son that Blackwell is getting hurt and if the referee wont stop the fight he shouldnt leave it to the referee, avoid the head and go to the body.
Go actually read what Eubank Snr said, he was obviously concerned with the safety of blackwell

i dont believe this to be the case but hes entitled to his opinion.
