Way more people wanted him to fight Canelo. Who would have thought this aztec warrior would turn into such a joke so fast. Doubt Ward could have stayed at 168 either. He was struggling to make that, and none of these unifications were available.

well ya of course ggg fans wanted him to fight canelo ward is a probable loss. i mean after his long lay off ya of course he was gonna need couple months get down to legit 168 i mean thats not really the reason the fight didnt happen tho. You ggg fans can at least be honest. The fight would of been big would been a ppv both would gotten career high pay days probably double 5 or 6 million a piece but the reality is team ggg knew if they fought ward and lost it would of killed his future earnings thats the reality. It had nothing to do with ward coming in at 170 for his first fight after long lay off before he decided make move to 175 looking for a big fight it was strictly because team ggg was not confident he would beat ward and he wasnt going to make enough money in the fight to make it worth the future earnings he would of lost. the is the absolute truth this idea that the fight wouldnt of generated money or its because ward weighed in at 170 for his first fight after lay off is garbage.

i think the thing that is annoying is that ggg fans refuse to admit the real reason the fight didnt happen was team ggg didnt think they would win otherwise the fight happens and ggg beats ward and becomes the face of boxing all these other reasons are all just bs.

i just think ggg vs ward is the best fight boxing had to offer. if we get ward kovalev and ggg canelo tho thats a dam good trade off
