I'm not making an assumption on the weight.

Both sides have stated 'weight hasn't been an issue' - Oscar said it and Loeffler said it. That's not an assumption.

Both sides have been in discussion, both sides have said they are continuing with said discussion. There is obviously a sticking point somewhere; given that both have stated publicly that it's not weight related, yes, I'm assuming it's money related.

They were 2 days from the fight going to purse bid and the 55/45 split coming into effect; there is no way on earth Golden Boy are accepting a split like that. This gives them a far bigger window, removes the WBC's enforced rules and changes nothing else.

Why didn't GB request for a extension from the WBC? This hard deadline stuff is ****ing nonsense. Seriously.....

Well you didn't consider the possibility that Canelo/GBP don't want to see him get knocked out in front of a huge audience world wide. You know just the most likely possibility.

As for the weight, I'm still not sold its not an issue. If they have no intention of making the fight, of course they can say weight is not an issue. Until i hear of an offer that has the weight at 160(Good luck finding it) I will believe that notion. Canelo had been preaching 155 the whole time, and all of a sudden it isn't a problem? What changed? People don't say something for over a year straight on infinite repeat, and suddenly change their tune. Doesn't happen.

Because some folks are saying that Lara can beat him, and because a name like Lara would improve Golovkin's **** resume'..... which are the exact same reasons why Canelo fought him.

Lara's a good fighter. I'd like to see the fight. Yes, GG hasn't got a great resume. But he has a goal to obtain all of the MW belts. As well as having those goals, he also has mandatory obligations. So where does Lara fit in? He's not even a MW. GG currently has 2 belts, and 3 if he gets Canelo's. He'll then be focusing on Jacobs and Saunders. He is not going to go out of his way to fight a JMW at this stage. What would be the point? Again, it's not a money fight, it's not a title fight, it's not a mandatory, and he's focused on other things. And guys like you wouldn't respect him for fighting a JMW anyway. So stop talking nonsense. I know you wouldn't respect it.

Regarding Ward, I'm a huge fan of his. But a fight was never viable and no official talks ever took place.

It's also hilarious how you criticise GG for enquiring about a 164 CW, while at the same time condoning Canelo for wanting one at 155.

Why even try , the guy is braindead , all he cares about is seeing GGG fail , he doesnt care about boxing , he doesnt understand why a mandatory is important , not in this context nor the fact that new up and comers wont get their chance ever if fighters can ignore those mandos , oh , look a scary young guy , vacate , then go and pay yourself into a world title fight with some other clown in the division.
