Wow the people defending the Russian cheat and now somehow blaming wilder are just straight obvious delusional anti American so called boxing fans.
How can you sit there and type the ***** you guys have been typing?
Honestly people like you guys are not real boxing fans but more fans of certain kind of people if you catch my drift.
Do us all a favor and fuuck off and go support your Russian cheat somewhere else

i'm pretty sure most contracts would have clauses to compensate on certain levels, one of which would have been paying so much up until so many dates, etc.
he definitely deserves something for his work - but the full amount would never be compensated. it would set a bad precedent for all promoters.
that said, if they agreed to full compensation regardless of the event happening - then that's a different story.
everybody hates promoters, but the reality is they risk a lot of money and this time the promoter would have lost many millions with zero event income.

Oh geez... here we go. So, IOW, in your mind, Wilder shouldn't even be scrutinized for being a full blown chicken for his first 30+ fights? People want to see an Olympic medal winner in the ring. Who knew this one was gonna bilk the fans for all they could be bilked for?

The public buy tickets to see a fight if they dont see a fight how can you get PaID?
People hasd the idea wilder never wanted to fight poov in first place so this seemed like a perfect situation for wilder.
The only scenario I see is POV paying for training expenses of wilder. But its the public who need reimbursingLast edited by hugh grant; 05-18-2016, 03:37 AM.
