There is no way that you can piss clean 3 times, and then piss dirty over 2 weeks later if Team Povetkin's story is to be believed. If he had meldonium in his system from the year prior, then ALL of his samples would have been dirty. His only saving grace would be his B sample coming back negative, but he hasn't even requested that it be tested, and it's been nearly 3 weeks since he was popped.

You also have to take into account that it was his most recent sample that came back positive, even though that was the sample that would have given him the most time to get anything out of his system. If his most recent sample had such a minuscule amount, then his earlier samples should have theoretically contained more, but they were completely clean.
Correct, the first test would be the one where it would show up, not the last.

I'd like them to go test him right now and see what shows up.

      Two interesting points:

      1) Povetkin has NOT appealed to have his B sample tested -- probably worried it might show an even higher concentration

      2) He didn't, apparently, show up at the Russian promoter's press conference to answer questions. Send out a two-sentence statement instead.

Not the way an innocent man would act.

I know this from a guy who was somewhere near the situation - he knows a man who knows a man. I don't know if it was in press.

Hmm, how can this drug work if a sportsman will take a very small ration of prescribed dose?

The thing is that no good research was done on meldonium. Articles about meldonium provide no good reasoning that it would work even in the case of heart disease.

Can anyone confirm this is the same price in Russia?
I don't say that it don't work, I say that there are no good evidences that it works even for heart disease. It costs 5-10$ in Russia. There are plenty of examples when people spend their money on something that is proven to be unuseful (for example, homeopathy). For example there are some medicine that is said by advertising to have antiviral effects, doctors presribe these medicine, but it does nothing. So it's not an uncommon situation for Russia, don't know about other countries.

So what scientific evidence do you have for your words? Please cite it. I would like to read it.

Okay. Well that means nothing to me. So Povetkin has a highly suspect situation that I've not seen anyone else have.

Go read up on microdosing. He coulda been masking it in the first 3 tests too. I'm not claiming to know what exactly happened I just know whats more likely from what I'm seeing & out of 200+ cases Povetkin is the only guy who's been clean & then suddenly dirty from usage from Sept. 2015.

Don't really matter. Its been deemed a banned substance. And it seems like a lot of people are buying it for some reason. My assumption would because its helping the athletes using it.

No argument here. Its just an interesting situation that I've never really seen in sports that I can recall. Thats mainly what I was commenting on with this substances usage by so many athletes.

Do you want a strict investigation from me? If you want reliable evidences wait for the VADA announcement.

No I assumed you were telling me something that was actually provable, not some allegedly 3rd hand info that holds no weight.

VADA didn't have anything to do with the two people you told me about so idk what exactly you mean with them. The Povetkin thing is a whole other situation & as far as info available its a unique situation that I'd suggest & I think most of this forum is suggesting is more likely to be some sort of usage of this substance by Povetkin in 2016.

If that turns out to be incorrect at some future date fair enough, but I don't see how he can prove he didn't ingest something after those negative tests or mask his usage in the early tests when he's the only one of 200+ cases that that has happened in at this point. Ultimately I hope I'm wrong cuz I'd love to see this fight, but things look super sketchy at this point.
