To be fair, things could have gone a little different if judges had different scorecards

Taylor never beat Hopkins, Hopkins moves up to fight Tarver, leaving the 160 Ring title vacant

Taylor drops to #3 MW, so Pavlik vs Winky fight for the vacant Ring title

After that who the hell knows what would have happened. Abraham, Williams, Sturm and Sylvester were lurking around the top 5 and I think Williams would have always beaten Winky, it was just a bad style match up. then Martinez would have beaten Williams. One could also argue that Murray beat Martinez, and GGG beat Murray so GGG should actually be the Ring champ right now

you do realize Mayweather is older than all of them, except Mosley. He fought Cotto and Mosley past prime himself unless you think he is some black highlander and is immortal. Dude was in his 30s and over 40 fights in.

Williams lost to Quintana in 08 and killed his shot at floyd....he ended up moving up in 08, and Margarito lost to paul williams in 07 who hadnt beat any top ten opposition and was a prospect. GGG is right, let's just hope Canelo finds his cojones. He will be stronger at 160, will prolly dehydrate to 180+ on fight night and outweigh GGG by 10 lb.
