Comments Thread For: Hearn Feels Bad For Khan: He Was Basically Used As An Opponent
Promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport, who handles IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook (36-0, 25KOs), felt Amir Khan (31-4, 19KOs), made a career mistake last Saturday night.
It's called taking a risk, Eddie. Putting your big boy pants on and daring to be great. I wouldn't expect a British coward or the masses that fellate Gennady Golovkin to understand that.
Once khan mans up and fights brook he would have been ko'd in 4 different weight classes. People like to trash khan but gimme a fighter whos accomplished that
There's taking risks and then there's being ******. The risks khan needed to take were to fight a brook, Thurman, Porter, or rematch with Garcia. At least those fights had the potential to he winnable. He had no chance vs canelo and now probably has the punch resistance of a 2 year old.

It's called being ******, not because he went up 8lbs but because, in his desire to run as fast and far away from Brook, he took a fight he KNEW he would lose by brutal KO, and then tell us how big his balls are. He and us all know that he'd rather be decapitated by any fighter NOT from the UK (especially Brook) than lose to a domestic fighter and lose that "best from the UK" aura he delusions himself with. I've seen many delusional fighters, but none reach the heights of Khan. I guess we should all blame Prescott for that, as Khan is still feeling the effects of that KO.

Taking a risk is one thing, going in against a clearly overmatched opponent was suicide and suicide should not be condoned... unless your name is Pigeons
its a health risk to sanction fights he participates in at an elite level
the organizers are taking on too much liability
since he fought so badly I don't know if even commentating is an option at this point.
he should focus on his family and businesses outside of the sport as boxing is clearly not his forte

khan was sadly used for the purpose of being an easy highlight reel KO for canelo. everyone knew it. an easy defense and a big KO win to draw in the casuals to this hype fraud.
180+ lb canelo could have killed khan or put him in a serious coma. khan most likely has been ruined forever by that punch and i would suggest for him to retire now.
