When Hopkins broke Monzon's record, they counted every defense all the way back to when he first won the vacant IBF title. He didn't fight the other champs at the weight until he unified vs Tito and there wasn't a "lineal" champion at the time.......that's what happened. I'm counting from his first major title defense forwards, same as they did for Bhop......if it worked for him??

I didn't like it then, don't like it now because Monzon was the true lineal in every defense.....but that's how they count them. Take it up with whoever picks what counts and what doesn't.

Do you even know WTF you're taking about or are you just not paying attention?

He's got options. Just the rematch with Cotto alone is enough to bring in a ton of money.
True. He can keep making money fighting smaller guys. But he can't make as much vs any current fighter that isn't retired add he can make with Golovkin. And that's who he should fight. They enter the ring at close to the same weight.......

You want him to punk out after all the **** he talked? It's the biggest fight in boxing right now.......the only way Canelo could get a higher buy rate would be if Floyd or Manny came back to fight him. But he'd lose both fights.......and he'll lose to Golovkin. But at least he won't be viewed as a chump.....

I saw a video the other day where a couple of fighters were questioning how Golovkin's punches landed.

His sparring partners have deep bruises all over their forearms/shoulders.

I'm not saying that anything su****ious it going on, personally I doubt it, I think that Golovkin is just very heavy-handed..... but those comments were a little strange.

What did you notice regarding his gloves ?
Until recently he wore foam padded Grant gloves. And in sparring they typically use bigger gloves than the 10oz gloves used at MW.

And since he does but do hard and is on a 21 ko steak, including several fights in Cali, where the Margarito issue was discovered, quite sure they are checking or the opponents trainers are truly incompetent....
