Canelo expected that, he took that fight because fans were saying that Lara could beat him.
The only other option would be for Canelo to make weak excuses..... not a draw doe, boring doe, needs to earn his shot, yadda yadda.
But GGG isn't getting any younger taking these GOD awlful SHT MISMATCHES!
Last I looked Lara is currently ranked P4P #18. That right there would be the highest ranked fighter GGG has EVER fought But if you listen to Sanchez Monroe was more dangerous and known...BS!

I know you think Monroe is better. And so is Wade. Fk I'm sure all GGG's opponents in your head are ALL going to be Hall of Famers.

Lara ain't draw doe. Haha. As if they're Ellerbe's financial managers. And unlike others, Floyd is already a millionaire. He can afford to take such fight just like the Berto fight, haha. Fake fans.
lol, they made excuse after excuse.

Originally posted by OnePunch View PostThis statement is true, although the word "offer" gets misinterpreted by alot of people here. It's more about personally expressing a genuine interest, as opposed to making an actual monetary "offer".
For example, when I wanted to get Nate Campbell in with Tim Bradley, I didn't send tweets. I called Gary Shaw, and asked if he had any interest in doing Bradley-Campbell. He said he had to check with Showtime and get back to me. He did, and as the A-side he made the initial "offer", and we worked it out from there.
Its not that difficult........
I don't see what's so different about this Golovkin-Lara situation. And I don't get why people are getting snarky as if Lara isn't serious because he himself hasn't made an actual offer. K2's side are well aware of Lara's interest, and have been for some time. As the B-side, letting the A-side know of your interest is really all you can do until the A-side makes an offer. If the show of interest is made in twitter or a phone call (or on national television when Lara called him out after a fight), I don't see the relavent difference. It's the 21st century. Twitter nowadays is just as a valid form of communication as a phone call. If K2 were at all interested in Lara, they would have contacted Haymon already since K2 holds the cards with HBO. There's not much Lara should do other than sit and wait for a K2 offer.Last edited by DoktorSleepless; 05-06-2016, 07:50 PM.

Golovcan't fears Lara , Canelo faced Lara and beat him fair & square!
GGG ducked & fears LARA , Canelo faced & beat Lara! It shows you who is who. A great resume matters in Boxing more then a KO streak of low level opposition.
Erislandy "The American Dream" Lara
-A world class top notch boxer
-The complete package tremendous skills and physical ability with a very high boxing IQ
-One of the most avoided fighters in the sport
Lara has been on PPV and his event out sold GGG's PPV Event so Golovkin saying Lara doesn't sell is a complete lie , let's be real Golovkin wants no part of Lara , Golovkin turns into Golovcan't when a top fighter excepts his challenge from 154-168. He is GGG when facing bums and transforms into Golovcan't when great fighters call his bluff. That's what Bernard Hopkins means when saying GGG must take risks and dare to be great and he will not get a pass and will expose him and his fraudulent ways.
Canelo faced the great Erislandy Lara when no one else would, and defeated him, Canelo has proven to the world that he ducks no one, and has taken many risks and fought many times on other fighters terms , now he is in a position where he has earned his spot to fight on his terms, he wants GGG at 155 and while GGG says he can make 154 Golovcan't can't make 155 SMH.
Canelo wants to make history and leave a great legacy , so I won't be surprised if Canelo being the great sportsman that he is , beats GGG & let's him keep his belt just like he did to Lara, because Canelo likes to dish out physical & psychological beat downs in style, like the great boxers of the past did.
Golovcan't went from the biggest trash talker from 154-168 to the biggest coward from 154-168 , no resume , no legacy fights , no 50/50 fights , no risk no reward no guts no glory!

That should automatically remove Lara from being a leverage piece in arguments. As I said calling someone out but not having your people reach out to make a fight is something any of us here can do as well. Hope he gets both fights but he seems more fixated on staying at 154 which is fine as well.
"I've already made it public that I would fight [Golovkin], but I'm not focused on him. I have a tough fight with Vanes coming up so I'll stay focused on him, but my record speaks for itself."
"I'm not focused on him"
vs
"I'm not focused on him because I have a fight coming up"
Is a pretty big difference.Last edited by Biolink; 05-06-2016, 07:54 PM.
