If Khan does fight smart, and too careful, would any judge reward him vs Canelo? Canelo wins rounds for doing nothing.
    Good post.

I don't see Khan getting robbed, Canelo isn't Floyd to be owning the judges, but at the same time he does have his fair share of gifts.

Thing is, if Khan wins by UD I don't think it would be that close, because if Khan is landing and outboxing Canelo, he is going to outwork him severely, even if it's just flashy pitty pat punches.

I mean a robbery isn't out of the question, but it would be really disgraceful in that if Khan makes it through 12 rounds I don't see how you could give the nod to Canelo, maybe if Khan fights off the backfoot the whole time, but he doesn't have to, he is faster and a better boxer. He needs to apply pressure in spurts, move in and out, and stay busy.

You make good points, but I think Khan underestimated Garcia, and for good reason, but he also got caught, as he often does.

Algieri, as sad as it sounds, that's probably his best win. Algieri isn't that great of a fighter but he does had some speed and he moves around the ring fairly well if he isn't getting sonned.

Canelo has Dannys brick feet, and while he is a better boxer, he is there to be hit and to be outboxed. If Khan fights intelligently, he has pretty good odds to beat him.

Myself, along with many of my friends, and a number of work associates are fervent boxing fans. We often go at it about past fights, possible future fights, what ifs, and the occasional fantasy match ups, sometimes borderline full blown arguments. I can honestly say that not one of them even speaks of this fight and the few times I brought it up, shoulder shrug was the usual response. Me thinks Oscar feels a lack of interest from the public.

how is khan a better boxer? he throws more punches and has more hand speed yes. but can he land the more accurate shots while defusing what his opponent has to offer? no, no he can't. canelo does that. even algeiri did that to khan. you aren't outboxing someone if he's landing the cleaner shots on you. its just a mirage. activity disguised as substance. the story of khan's career.

He would be right, if khan was a natural 154/60 and hadn't been stopped and hurt by lightweights

I'm expecting Canelo to start out measured but aggressive cause he won't want khan to build a rhythm.

Khan wins the first two round then gets rocked bad in the 3rd and finished. Joke fight really.

I wouldn't even be surprised if Canelo is supposed to carry khan and let him win rounds before ending it.

Dude they tried to rob floyd vs canelo. One judge scored it a draw ffs. If that fight was anyway close canelo would have won.

He's only 25... There's potentially another 10-15 years left of money making thru Canelo, who brings a huge Hispanic fan base with good looks to attract females also... He's a sure bet to win ANY close fight
