    Institutional Racism In Boxing

I would like to know your opinions on if there is institutional racism in boxing. If so, how does it manifest itself and can you provide some examples?

It is alleged that Bob Arum once said, "We will let the Blacks and the Latinos fight in the ring and we will count the money on the outside".

You're going to need a source on that one.

Black fella I believe. I wouldn't put it past Bob to say something like that, but highly doubt he would have said it to that guy.

Back on topic, what institutions within boxing do you feel could be racist?

Promoters, networks, maybe managers and trainers. All are possible.

The highest paid fighter of all time is black. Two of the most popular fighters ever (Tyson, Ali) were black. Anthony Joshua, David Haye and Amir Khan, all from ethnic **********, are among the most recognisable names in boxing in the UK. Race will only be an issue in boxing while it is an issue for its fans.

HBO hates Black people. We all know that.
