I agree. I wouldn't want to see that fight either. But from a pure business perspective and money perspective it makes since. Their 2 of the Top 5 most popular boxers in the world.

Unfortunately this is the new day in age of boxing where the fighters care more about their bank accounts than they do their legacy. Having said that Canelo has done a lot in his career thus far.

But it's seeming more and more likely that one of the most anticipated fights won't happen till next year.

I'm not saying he's afraid. I'm saying that he in my opinion is getting to the point that he feels when he wants to fight GGG then he will make the fight.

Remember people doubted that he would fight Lara and Trout already, and he made those fights. Canelo Told Golden Boy to make those fights happen with 2 of the Top 5 fighters in the Junior Middleweight division at the time.

But in my opinion he doesn't seem as much in a rush to fight GGG as he was to fight those other guys.

No I would want him to fight GGG next, and truly fight a guy who would actually threaten him not just skill wise but also test Canelos chin.

GGG vs Canelo should be made in September but Canelo I just don't think feels like he owes anyone anything. And like it or not would make a lot of money facing Pac.
