JLC showed alot of heart but people gave him too much credit in the fight giving him all the close rounds jusr for being active even though he wasn't landing
Will have to re watch that when I get time. Thanks for weighing in on the topic.

Zab is like saying if Khan never got hit on the chin he wins everything , you dont have to win every round just the majority Zab came out the best he ever has , that was by far Judahs best ring performance he was really up for that fight , but Judah is Judah , he always slows and he is vulnerable to good shots , Floyd was on his way to breaking him down with crisp body shots and counters , he was going to stop Zab and then the low blow and BS happened which lost the flow Floyd had going .

Floyd was never going to lose the fight but he might have some very competitive rounds and thats the thing with great fighters they come home in the run where it really matters .

manny wasn't fighting to win when he faced Floyd.

He was fighting to avoid getting ko'd.

Sometimez, life is a curve ball. The guy that was supposed to devastate Floyd ended up being one of his most fearful victims.

Manny did seem to settle into his roles for victim number 48 as the fight progressed. But, PAC knew that this was gonna happen, God revealed it to PAC a month before the fight, in a dream. All his mom's voodoo couldn't change a thing.

Arum made PAC discuss his shoulder injury. Now PAC is being sued. Poor PAC, he can't win for losing.

But I stick to my starting point premise. We need one.
the best starting point and rule is to stick to your thread topic....

the point that you agreed that floyd's 0 is only on paper indicates that floyd was beaten...

so in a thread that you asked for who came closest, you have to take out those who you really believe beat floyd....whoever he/she may be ha ha ha ha

and focus on those who really came closest...as your thread topic is about....

now, don't get me wrong, buddy....i am stating and had voted on mosley just for me he fits the bill........as per thread's topic

He definitely beat Oscar but how the fight went and with Oscar being Oscar you'd think the judges was going to give him the nod.

                i almost forgot about oscar!

odlh beat him from pillar to post! no wonder the judges rule it a SPLIT dec because floyd was so battered an bruised was was disfigured!

I am fine with my starting point. Many feel Flyd beat Castillo. So using the official boxrec. Is the only firm ground to start from. After all, I have my bias too.

Your credibility just went out the door , if thats what you seen you need to see a lot more boxing to understand whats going on in a 12 rnd match .

A very accurate characterization of Zab's career.
