He's a fool to fight Ward in Oakland. If the fight goes the distance it will be very hard to take Ward on the cards with the entire crowd behind him.
Ward did well last night but he still doesn't look the fighter he was in 2011/2012. Physically he's not the same and offensively he's not as sharp. Maybe the sharpness will come or maybe it won't.
Either way, he's still hard to hit clean and winning a decision against him will not be easy for anyone.
Kovalev, uncharacteristically, seems to have a lot of respect for Ward. Hmmm......very interesting.
Because unlike blind fans Kov knows Ward is a special fighter , fans cannot see the artful dodgers of boxing they can only see boom , Ward is a very hard guy to beat he has the ability to frustrate the crap out of Kov , by comparison Kov must KO him to win and thats not easy.

he never initiates grudges... he just finishes them
ward is a respectful guy himself, so i don't see there being any bad blood in the build-up to this one. they'll probably be friends afterwards like kov and b-hop
In an interview Kovalev said he prefers NOT to fight in Oakland. I don't think he should fight that guy in Oakland. Why doesn't Ward fight Sergey in Russia instead?
I think California would be fine, but Southern California. Somewhere in the LA area.
