Tonight he was testing his power , chin, stamina . He slips looked slow , his athleticism looked lessened. He tired somewhat vs a guy who fought his pace.

I think he knows deep down he cant beat
    Kovalev.

Kovalev should want the fight in NY
    No later than november.

JDJ imo will have a great gameplan.

Kovalevs power , straight punches and reach will help stop ward inside of 8 rounds

    Thoughts
so unlikely that the contract is signed

    ......troll

THEY BOTH WANT AN INTERIM FIGHT....10 MONTHS IS TO LONG FOR THEM TO BE OUT...NO EXCUSES COME NOVEMBER

Do you see ward fighting any of them?
Maybe Pascal. If he could own Pascal, I'd say maybe he's ready for Kovalev. Beterbiev is risky. But hey, Ward said he wants to be great!

Al won't let beterbiev fight Ward. Beterbiev is his cash cow

100% agree. Andre Ward isn't an entertaining fighter to watch but he is one of the smartest fighters you will see. I think he deserves a top 10 place on the pound for pound list for the past 20 or 30 years. A prime Andre Ward is every bit as good as a prime Roy Jones, Mayweather or Hopkins.

Kovolev is a solid fighter but I doubt he will be remembered in a few decades from now as an elite level pound for pound fighter. Ward will be remembered.

The only thing preventing Ward from being installed as a big betting favorite is weight and ring rust. If my life depended on the outcome I would bet on Ward. I think he outsmarts Kov - especially on the inside.

Looking at Ward's build, he doesn't look like he has enough lead in his ass to be a genuine LHW. This despite the fact that he fought @ LHW in the amateurs.

It's not going to happen in November. We're going to wait longer than that.

Kovalev said he needed another fight before he fights Ward.

You don't have anything to suggest that Ward would duck them. Yall just assume Ward is going to by default duck somebody when you have absolutely nothing to base it off of. The man with one of the best resumes in boxing will duck Pascal who should have lost his last 3 fights in a row.

Pascal's win over Gonzalez was legit... Close call but legit ... The guy still have a good selling value and would be a decent next step for Ward... Beterbiev could potentially be as dangerous as Kovalev... Ward's clan doesn't have enough info about him to risk it before a Championship fight.. Still, I still doubt the fight with Kovalev is likely to happen, ever....
