You're confused. Kathy already said that Sergey is guaranteed a rematch should he lose. It's in the contract. She squirmed out of answering if Ward was contracted a rematch (meaning he's not guaranteed one).
Why would the challenger have a rematch losing nothing... Unless the fight is FOTY worthy or Kovalev steals it, no need for a rematch...

Stevenson is waiting anyway ...
I never said a challenger should. I was correcting the person who claimed that Ward would get a rematch, but wouldn't give Kovalev one. He had it backwards.
It's a 50-50 fight and had Kovalev winning at first, but the more I think about it, the most likely scenario is we get a "boring" fight as Kovalev struggles to adjust and Ward wins a close decision.
You don't need no psychic to predict what's gonna happen, especially when they said that rematch is guaranteed, it will be some ****in "big drama show" for 3 fights
It's been a while since I posted. I voted Kovalev by KO / TKO, though I could easily see it being a boring or ugly Ward UD. If Ward can get some respect early, without being caught at range, it would probably go a long way toward setting up a boring or ugly Ward UD. If Ward can breed even a little hesitation in Kovavlev, Kovalev loses. I think you'll pretty much be able to tell a few rounds in. If after a couple of rounds Ward is experiencing 'bad touch' while either trying to play keep away or burglar, then he's going to get krushed. With that being said, I'm voting what I want to see, the Kovalev KO, and it at least has a reasonable prospect of happening. I think Kovalev will just be too much, and that it will be apparent right after the first time Ward eats a few punches at range... Though I'm biased toward the KO guys...
