Huge Kovalev fan!! That being said I thing Ward will fight him the same way Sugar Ray Leonard fought Hagler. Hit , move, tie up repeat. Ward by decision

If Ward is as good as he was at his best, he wins a tough and at times brutal chess match. This is the best fight that can be made. They are both legit top 5 P4P (I feel top 3). When was the last time that happened? FLMJ vs Pacquiao, Canelo vs Cotton is a stretch. I hope both fighters are given their dues afterwards. Both are possible HOF level fighters. Lt Heavyweight will be the division of wars. Stevenson must fight the winner.

Superduck Chickenson will somehow make it impossible.

If he does fight, Kovalev will beat him to a pulp

Man I like Kovalev way more than Ward, I favor him in this fight and I would love to see him KO Ward but don't be so quick with this type of comments, it would just make you look very bad if it plays out the other way.

Sure Stevenson is ducking him for years, again I would favor Kovalev here too, but I don't think it would be an easy fight for him. With that being said I wouldn't be suprised if Stevenson KO's him with that straight left which is a dynamite.

Ward "retires" (for at least one year) either if he wins or loses... In case he wins, Ward retires in order not to give Kovalev the rematch; in case he loses, Ward retires because of the principle...

NOBODY participates in a "brutal" match with Kovalev and comes out victorious, have you gone mad? It is not physically possible, honest to goodness. If a fight with Kovalev becomes brutal, you WILL lose. That goes for any fighter out there in the entire world.

Not only that, but it CERTAINLY wouldn't be a chinny fighter like Ward who got dropped by a fringe journeyman. After the fight with Boone, Ward was scared to fight a real puncher, so he feasted on plodding, "tough guy," club-brawler, flat-footed, no real power-just a good chin-and willing to fight- slow, unathletic basically "I worked hard to become a pro boxer but have no natural gifts" bums like Abraham, Froch, Bika, etc. Ward literally has the most overrated resume, EVER yes, he cleaned out 168..... But a TERRIBLE 168, just like how people say GGG cleaned out 160, but a TERRIBLE one that features Macklin, Geale, etc as top fighters.... That's exactly what Ward is a product of.

Still, Ward is a legit P4P talent, hall of famer, based on beating the best in his division (even tho they ******), and he definitely passes the eye test, so he is still that DUDE, and I would not dare to say he sucks or is overrated (SKILL WISE) because Kovalev needs 10000% full credit for this fight if he is to become the GOAT LHW (Adonis still needs to step up so Kovalev can take that belt) but the fact of the matter is this: I promise you guys that Ward has never in his life been in the ring with a guy with the total package and skillset/power combination that Kovalev has at his disposal. On the flip side, Kovalev has seen plenty of skilled boxers with no power in the amateurs- and Ward will be nothing new. I PROMISE YOU GUYS that anybody who looks at Kovalev as "another Froch" or looks at Wards resume as a resume "full of guys like Kovalev" is going to be in for a HUGE shock. I absolutely promise, promise, PROMISE, that you're going to sit there and be like "wtf is this? This isn't supposed to be happening" The reason why is because nobody, I mean nobody, none of those plodding cavemen Ward has fought are anywhere in the same stratosphere. I mean LIGHT YEARS in distance to Sergey Kovalev.

Two. More. Months. Lets. Get. It.
