i also think he is being stitched, in one of the rounds of that fight they rang the bell 40 something seconds early when ruslan chag looked hurt, yet nothing come of that.

Clen very much hinders performance, it's purely for weight loss. It causes muscle cramps, headaches, your heart rate goes through the roof....it makes zero sense for a fighter to be using Clen, especially a HW.
Clenbuterol and Ephedrine are some of the most commonly used substances among fighters of various disciplines, in boxing and MMA. Most prolifically, Erik Morales was banned for 2 years after testing positive for the substance.

Yes I read up on it. Basically they take maybe 90 ml of urine, of which a larger part would be the a sample, with a smaller part being the b sample. When the a sample shows something they use the b sample to confirm.

VADA by the face of it seems to be an independent, transparent organization so hopefully nothing is corrupted here and Browne gets a ban and his title taken away from him, if this is the case.

Again, it makes no sense for a HW.

For small guys struggling to make weight, the positive might outweigh the negative, but not at HW. Taking Clen as a HW is totally unnecessary.

I can only see this as a stitch up.

In recent times the heavyweight division has often been criticized for being comprised primarily of fat, overweight boxers. Perhaps a well-known example being Chris Arreola who was often criticized for letting himself go in the weight department. Stiverne is another recent example.

But, the best fighters in the division are in decent shape and there are obviously hundreds of boxers who have aspirations to achieve a similar condition to maximize their potential. It's just nonsensical to suggest otherwise since this is a sport we're talking about and physical condition can play a huge part in the likelihood of success.

Browne was the lightest he's ever weighed in his entire career so the Clenbuterol discovery isn't that far-fetched at all.

Heavyweights lose weight primarily to assist with speed - both handspeed and more specifically footspeed. We saw Browne very mobile in the Chagaev fight, perhaps moreso than ever before, and the weight-loss was surely a contributory factor in his improved mobility.

The round earlier went on forty seconds too long.

                    Good post. Greens sent.

Browne had a career best performance and it is now no coincidence regarding his usage of the steroid. It is a shame as I thought Browne going forward could be involved in another exciting fight before losing his belt to Oquendo or Ortiz.

I would now be surprised if Browne's testing was subject of poor handling or contamination, the testing agency is generally extremely thorough. Browne will no doubt be stripped and serve a ban, this in itself isn't a bad situation, Ortiz can now get it on with Oquendo for the regular belt.

Clen is not needed for HW's to drop weight. Those guys you mention are in dreadful shape and could easily slim down without any drugs if they cared that much about being criticized. It's not remotely difficult to lose weight when you are carrying more than 15% body fat.

The best fighters are in good shape because they work hard. They are powerful, they are conditioned and they are at the top of their game because they put the work in; Clen doesn't give you any performance boost, it is purely a thermogenic, it literally does nothing but drop some lbs. I'm not buying that a HW would choose to use Clen if they are cheating, there are many better alternatives that give you weight loss along with performance enhancement.

Browne only looked better than usual because Chagaev showed up in utterly dreadful shape and was slower, heavier and even more plodding than normal.
