Comments Thread For: Amir Khan Accepted Canelo Deal After Studying Fight Footage

Amir Khan has revealed he agreed to fight Saul Alvarez having watched footage of the Mexican and concluding he could win.

The 29-year-old will be a significant underdog when challenging the far bigger Alvarez at a catchweight of 155lbs for his WBC middleweight title after jumping two divisions, beyond welterweight.

He probably watched Lara make Canelo look ******ed for 12 rounds and thought "Sure I can do that that guy got robbed" . Khan may be better boxer than Lara in some aspects, but his chin and defense ain't nearly on that level not to mention that huge ass size disadvantage he put himself in.

Lara himself was out sized and Canelo usually already makes guys in his own Canelo weight division look small I can't see this going well for Khan. I see this looking like Gamboa vs Crawford and Khan ain't gonna be Crawford.

Right...translation, he finally got his big money PPV fight he wanted.
And Canelo got the same while also avoiding GGG.

It's true Canelo is far from invincible and is really a guy that could easily make super welterweight the Cotto fight was close enough and Cotto is faded. The forty year old Mosley gave him massive problems and Lara only lost on a split, Floyd beat him to bits.
Khan again does not deserve the fight or the payday and Oscar and Canelo cant have much confidence in themselves to be fighting a guy that really hasn't proven himself at his own weight.
Khan will be lucky not to be knocked out for the third time here , although until this happens will probably make Canelo look what he is ponderous.
But Khan is too chinny to be taken with any real seriousness here and only his delusional fans will go with him saying he may stop Canelo late.

Really Khan?... I though the real reason was the 8,000,000 you were offered.
