Rewatching Pacquiao's fights down the years

Felt like watching a career set over a few nights. Was initially thinking of watching De La Hoya's defining fights. But with Pacquiao set to take part in his farewell fight soon, i thought i'd rewatch some of his old fights.

I got started last night. I'm going to focus on his wins, and more exciting fights.. and so far, so good, i'm enjoying catching up on some fights i've not seen in a while.

    Pacquiao Vs Ledwaba - W TKO 6 - June 2001

Pacquioa's American debut. He took the fight on 2 weeks notice and came in as the betting underdog. On a card that featured De La Hoya, and a young Jermaine Taylor.
Pacquiao picked up the IBF Super Bantamweight title after dropping Ledwaba 3 times.
It's quite amusing listening to Lampley and Foreman trying to get to grips with the pronunciation of 'Pacquiao'

      Pacquiao Vs Barrera - W TKO 11 - Nov 2003

Pacquiao really announces himself to the boxing world with a stoppage win over the favourite Barrera. In what turned out to be the only stoppage of the Mexican's career.
Pacquiao picked up the Ring belt. A year later Barrera would beat Morales in the rubber match of their trilogy.

        Pacquiao Vs Marquez I - SD - May 2004

6 Months after beating Barerra, Pacquiao faces fellow Mexican Marquez in the first of their 4 meetings.
JMM is down 3 times in the first round of a fight that splits fans opinions.

        Scoring controversy :
Judge Guy Jutras scored the fight 115-110 for Marquez, while judge John Stewart scored it 115-110 for Pacquiao.
The third judge, Burt Clements, had a 113-113 tie. His scoring included a 10-7 opening round because, he admitted later, he did not realize he could give a 10-6 round. If Clements had scored the opening round 10-6, as the other two judges had, Pacquiao would have won by 113-112 on Clements's card and earned a split decision.
"I just screwed up," Clements said. "I feel badly because I dropped the ball, plainly and simply. You can make a lot of arguments that it was a very close fight, but that's immaterial. The fact is, I dropped the ball."
Marc Ratner, the executive director of the Nevada State Athletic Commission, ruled that Clements's admission was no grounds for a protest.

Pacquiao Vs Marquez II - W PTS - March 2008

Pacquiao went into the fight on the back of a second win of Barrera. Like the first, another very close fight. Fans scorecards are divided. The Ring title was on the line.

                Pacquiao Vs De La Hoya - W RND 8 - Dec 2008

Pacquiao's 3rd fight of 2008, all 3 fights were in different weight divisions. Many people viewed this fight as a 'cherry pick' for the bigger De La Hoya.
