Has there ever been a boxer who has publicly declared that he's going to kill his opponent in the ring? and if there was, what were the media reactions or repercussions?

If a boxer said something like this to promote a fight and the opponent actually died or got severely injured, could he be facing charges for murder/murder intent?

I suspect Kovalev will say something like this in the future, once he has to face someone that actually pisses him off like Stevenson or Beterbiev

Considering he has ended someone's life with his fists I very much doubt he'd actually come right out and say it provocatively, no matter how dumb he might be.
