Your like a PI. Be honest how much does Golden Boy pay you, is it weekly or is it by the word.

They do have $ coming in, Are they losing $ yeah but I have a tough time believing they went through 450.

Just wondering when you think they'll close the doors because if they ran through 80% they should only be around for a couple months right.

      We'll wait and see
I didn't find that Steve Kim posted it. No clue when they officially close doors. But the writing is on wall it's only a matter of time. I see nothing they can do to turn this mess around.

        These are simple enough questions.
Why would showtime turn on haymon last year when he held Mayweather over their head and they didn't know if PBC would fail and haymon would have to come crawling back. Now no floyd and no threat to take his guys to another network. Showtime has no reason to overpay guys. And showtime can get other fighters and promoters. They existed in boxing for like 3 decades before haymon,.

Again: WHO??, and why haven't they done it already?

That's cool. I can wait. My Georgetown Hoyas are on the bubble right now and we trying to make this late season push to make the tourney.

In other words, if say Mayweather and Pacquiao's take were capped at 40 mil a piece for their fight, WHO should have gotten that other 120 mil the fight generated? The networks? The Cable distributers? The promoters? If not the fighter themselves, who in boxing should be getting a bigger cut?

Thank you in advance for your response.
There is no money being saved. So, who should be getting this extra money that doesn't exist? Clearly the fighters are making money while the outfit and events are losing money. That's an unsustainable business model. You can't keep paying these guys 1.5 million dollars and lose money on every event. Floyd and Manny are money makers. They make money for everyone. They deserve every last dollar and have proven repeatedly that they are deserving of their purses. What have these other guys done? Why are they being paid all this money when they themselves can't even generate revenue to cover costs? This would be like me paying my bar staff $50 dollars an hour meanwhile I'm losing $1000 a day. It doesn't make sense. We can't talk about who deserves the extra money when there is none currently.

                    Fair enough.

But your initial statement didn't say anything about purses in relation to the profitability of the event itself. It appeared you were just railing about the guys getting 'too much money' period.

No, not at all. I thought it was implied I was speaking about purses in relation to profitability. If these guys are bringing in dollars then they deserve every dollar they get but currently most guys aren't. I'm all for the empowerment of the worker, especially the one's who are taking risks. But a model can't survive when it's not profitable. Then everybody is going to lose.
