But they have been together in the struggles for civil rights, equlity, better living conditions. The gangs in NYC always had these two groups together mostly. Music & dance were shared, literature & poetry...etc...

Learn your history Bro...Blacks & Ricans made up the minority population in NYC in the 40's, 50's, 60's,70's, & 80's after that it came to be known as Blacks & Latino. But PR's been around during the time that Blacks spearheaded the civils rights movement that helped improve rights for not just Blacks & Latinos but other whites as well...its all there in the history books. Look at the photos of NYC from 1940's-1980's when talking about **********....
