Hope this fight happens next. Interesting thing about Wilder is I wouldnt be surprised if he wins or loses any fight vs any opponent.Kind of makes it more entertaining. Povetkin is a step up certainly, should be a good fight.

I also don't rate Povetkin as high as some. I saw him get worked against Chambers before Eddie decided to stop fighting (I'll never understand that one, he was making it look easy). And I thought that Huck beat Povetkin. Alexander is slow and gets hit a lot, not a good recipe if you are fighting Wilder, who is faster than anyone Povetkin has faced since Chambers, and a lot rangier. I see Povetkin trying to get inside and paying for it on the way in. But I can't wait to see it, because Wilder definitely is raw and also has holes in his game.

Will the USA fight to keep Wilder at Home in America???
Povetkin doesn't want a USA fight with Wilder but the problem is the USA doesn't want to pay out big money for a guy like Wilder with no fan base and still an unknown in America. Wilder has little appeal. Bearcat thinks this fight goes to Russia and the advantage will go to Povetkin. Not sure what type of support Wilder actually has since Wilder's appeal is near zero.

Wilders footwork and footpositioning is absolutely horrible, Povetkin will ice him in 5 rounds.Last edited by From Russia; 01-19-2016, 10:47 AM.

I just want to see the fight, because it's an exciting fight. Wilder is vulnerable and he KOs fools, that's exciting to me because I don't know what's going to happen next, but his fights could end any time - Deontay has so far stopped all but one of his opponents.
Alexander looked good in his fight agains Perez, and he is respected in the boxing community by many, so I consider this a step up fight for Wilder. Povetkin has already stepped up, we know he lost against Wlad, I thought he lost the Huck fight, and Eddie Chambers was giving him that work early in their fight, plus he gets hit a lot, so he's vulnerable too.
So that's what makes a good fight to me, I'm not sure who will win. So I'll tune in no matter where they fight. Of course Povetkin's people want the fight in Russia, this is normal, and they will use whatever negotiating skill and money they have to make that happen. Haymon will be working on Wilder's behalf. That's the job of representatives, to get the best for their fighters. This is out of my control, so I'll just wait to see what happens, but I'm happy that they are trying to work things out. Bring it on! All this talk about who will KO who is fun, but ultimately means nothing until they fight.
