Well lets not get ahead of ourselves. Marquez has no chance in a fair fight against Cotto. Again, speaking as a huge Marquez fan. Hulkuez on the other hand has at least a punchers chance. This fight doesn't make sense AT ALL. 2016's Juan Manuel Marquez would take unnecessary punishment from the bigger, stronger, younger Miguel Cotto who is truly a super welterweight. JMM should be fighting at junior welterweight in a farewell fight against a beatable opponent, sht, matter a fact JMM should just stay retired, what's the point of going on with his carreer, he already did it big!

Idk why this is getting so much buzz. Cotto rejected a Pacquiao rematch because he refuses to go down to 147 again. If a Pacquiao payday doesn't get him down, I doubt a JMM one does. Besides, this is a horrible match up for cotto and the risk/reward isn't worth it. If he wins, they'll say he beat a 43 year old who hasn't fought in 2 years. If he loses, which there's a decent chance he will, they'll say he lost to a dude that's over 40 and hasn't fought in forever. He should go after the paper champ at 154 smith and then retire as a champ.
